View Full Version : Can't get the game to work on my computer!

I downloaded the trial version to my computer, and i get directX can't be found dubug error, click ok or cancel, and i can't get on the game, i also downloaded DirectX 9 latest 1, and it still says same, why is this, i reali want to go on the game, but can't cus i can't get it working, is they anyway that i can get it working please!!!!!! :)

It sounds like your PC hardware is not compatible with this game, sorry. :noooo:

I bought Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 and when i went to play it... it always come up unable to create 3d device :mad: so i looked it all up and learned a bit to find out that my chip type don't support it madred:. In the end i got my money back and bought RCT2 which does work. My chip type is a sis 651 which i no will not play RCT3 is there any sis chips that i can upgrade to which will let me play RCT3 or do i have to buy a new chip... If i do please tell me where i can get one from?

Hi Ancell, you will need to buy a new chip if you want to play RCT3 (and most games, these days), SIS cards are not really designed for playing games.

Most games require hardware T&L compatibility to run properly, ATI Radeon or nVidia GeForce are the sort of video cards you should consider.

Thanks :) ... I been looking at the nVidia GeForce on http://www.nvidia.com is there any certain one i should buy .. Im on Windows Xp .... Or even better is there a way i could download one and overwrite my sis.

Ancell, the video card is hardware, not software, you will need to buy it and have it installed in your computer. I would suggest that you speak to a professional computer specialist and ask for advice, there are lots of companies who do repairs and upgrades :)

If you are considering nVidia, you will need a GeForce 3 or higher to run RCT3 :)
