Top Gear and The Raging Yesterday Birthday Cruise

To celebrate Top Gear being back on our screens I had this idea. People have been doing cruise set to allsorts of different car so I though i'd try a random one. Basicly, any car that appers on the weeks Top Gear will be allowed on the cruise and if no cars from the show are in the game, it will be manafacture, then it won't happen.

We are redoing the sruise tonight. I will keep the list from last week up plus add another underneith. Hopefully TDU will allow this cruise to work this time.

This is on the 360 only NOT the PC beta. Thanks.

This will start at 8o Clock and end when it does. Hope this is Ok with people.

The Route

This route is not set in stone so if you want something else or this is too long / short please say and i'll change it. Meet in the car park of the Diner. Right, I tryed to mix speedy motorways with twisty roads and such. People like different things.

Cruise Video

This cruise will be recorded by me and edited into a video on You Tube. If you find it easier it will also be in the videos section of my clubs website. If anyone else has the capabiltys to do video and pictures on the cruise, if you could send them to me I could incorperate them into the final video. That would be great. Thanks.

7 untill 8 we could do, people can stay afterwords if they want. I might finish at the track and we can either carry on cruiseing or do laps round the track, fits the Top Gear theme.

That was good wasn't it, not many cars though. Thats a V8 Vantage, a Jag XKR Coupe and I think that was it. There's your cars.

We'll try and go 4 of each. I'll take a V8 Vantage. I was thinking of doing some drag race (for obvious reasons, and if you don't think it's right, look at the smile on his face when he was doing it) and a few lap round the track but mainly just cruising arounf both fast motorways and windy mountin / country roads. What do you think.

Go for it, Jag XK and V8 Vantage are the two cars.

The AMV8's should be stock, and the XK's tuned to as close as 420BHP to make it interesting

There are two Jag XK space and one V8 Vantage space so you have a choise.

I was thinking, to add a bit more variety, we could make the old XKR available for this cruise, seeing as he (Clarkson) did make a lot of comparisons to it, and also that vehicle is available in game.

Just an idea? If you agree, then I'll come in the old XKR. If not, no worries and I'll turn up in the tuned XK as planned.

We should do more Top Gear style cruises, like when they went to that big bridge in France (carn't remember the name) in the F430, Zonda and Ford GT. That'd be cool but obviously there would have to be more than just three people. Worth a thought though.

I was thinking the same thing! Blue with white stripe is Clarksons GT, silver F430 Spider and the Zonda was a foul orange colour I seem to remember. Correct me if I'm wrong!

That's correct, I saw that one on Bravo last night.

Ford GT: Dark Blue/White Stripes

F430: Kinda like Ice Blue

Zonda: Bright Orange!

I don't know the island all that well so I couldn't say. Just try to get a route with a massive bridge lol

That would be the Ford Island bridge. Easily the biggest on the game. Would suit it well.

I found the Zonda strangely attractive in bright orange :p :p

Right, im planning the route now. A few things. We will be leaving at 7.05 at the latest becouse someone can't go past 8 O Clock, if you are late please send me a message and we will stop so you can jump to us. Im now trying to figuer out how to get a better quility video so that should be all right.

Try and include the racetrack obviously. But apart from that I don't mind where we go! Have you announced the starting point yet?

No just sorting this out. Is anyone not champion? I'll probably end at the race track so if you can't get in, work harder.

Lets see if this goes well tonight and if so we'll see if the intresst is there for the cruise and if anyone different wants to organize it though im happy to do so.

Now I have a problem. My Mother has decieded she wants to cook a chiken for dinner and its going to ready at 7, pain in the backside becouse I'm going to have to prospone this till 8. Someone said they couldn't make it if it was 8 and im sorry about that. A few option, prospone it till 8, till tommorow or some one else run the cruise (prefer not to miss it but if it comes to that). What do you think. Its Mark CRX looking back, what do you think about it?

Hey Pherelas, if there's any spaces lemme know, I can see there's reserves and the like so probably not but I feel like a good cruise tonight and after a busy day switching servers I could do with some relaxation with a virtual drive round Oahu.

This may sound odd but hay, and don't recomend trying it to be honsest. I ate a packet of crisps, wiped most of the grease off my hand and then rubbed the disk so it was all cloudy. Then I breathed on it and wiped it off on my T-Shirt. No idea what possed me to try that but it worked, strangly.

Anyway, The cruise. Top Gear is being repeated to night, so lets try and do the cruise tonight. Exactly the same as yesterday but im going to wipe the names and start from strach. Same route, same time, same cars. Hope this is OK.

I think small rule change's should be implemented to make the performance band even for most cars.

Jaguar XK - Tune to Stage 3 (360BHP)
Jaguar XKR - Leave Stock (395BHP)
AMV8 - Leave Stock (380BHP)

This way it's pretty even. I kept getting left behind last night by MUCH faster cars. Including Nippers Ascari :mefiant:

Yer why not. How many of you caried on last time? Im still useing the aston, love that car. Can't be borthered to restrict numbers of each car. Turn up in what you've got, think it will be best.

I tried to carry on but a couple other people turned up in Mac F1's etc so I had no chance!

The Aston should def not be tuned! The other two cars are restricited to 155mph, and even with tuning it's hard to get them past 160-165.
