The game aint even out yet and there are already mods in development.
Found the following info somewhere i wont give the address yet as im not sure it was suppose to be available yet.
1. New cars in development
2. The option to own your own garage/dealer
3. A new location to drive is being worked on
Now im really curious in how this is going to develop.
Also i definatly hope they will take the bugs out that where found by a lot of testers and i hope they put some good use to the ideas people have given. If they don't then im afraid a lot of people are not gonna be buying it or return it.

Question for Ten perhaps - do you know if any extra features that appear in the PC version will be included in updates for the 360 version?
Apologies if this question has already been asked, I did a quick search but didn't spot anything obvious.

There's also the danger that this is something that someone's cousin's mate's estate agent's cat posted on an obscure forum somewhere ;)

I dont know voodoo but i sure hope they do put some of the requested options in otherwise i dont think this game is gonna last long, but if they do it's gonna be a kickass game better then any other game out there. This game has a lot of potential and with mods already being worked on it's gonna be even better.
A mod is usually created by a third party and not the developer of the original, this is common in PC games especially.
this is for PCCC ???????????????i dont belive it :))) its so good :))

it would have to be for the PC. theres no way you could do a mod for the 360 and make it available for people to play.
its pretty easy for people to mod PC games, if you look in your tdu folder you will see all the car files (bnk) so all you need is a util that opens these/creates them.
im not sure how they would add garages though, because that would involve changing the map/island itself.
the only way i can think of is if they find a way to change an existing dealer with new name/car models but that would mean losing an existing dealer.
hopefully though atari will provide mod developers with info/utils, many software developers do this because it expands the life of a PC game by months/years, just look at counterstrike and what that did for valve.

Actually really easy because there are a lot of dealers that are not being used at all, so turning those into dealers/garages you can own would not be that hard.

Apart from the dealerships that are empty wouldn't have been coded yet :P
So if your modding you could code any building to work as a dealership a house or w.e. Dealerships shouldn't be too hard only difficult modding would be to the map its self. Objects/models shouldn't be too hard to do too. You will probably start seeing a lot of modding out there but i don't think Atari would want to promote this as modders could give cars unfair advantages or edit current models to do a little bit faster in races.

I suppose other people would see the defult car, thats not very good becouse you couldn't show it off properly.

It depends on how it's done. It may become a mod or an add-on. In this case, since he said it's a mod, I'm guessing anyone who downloads it would be able to see it from others (again, depending upon how it's created).
It's a little early though. The final copy isn't out yet, so the only technical info comes from the beta.
