So does anybody know what the 505 represents on the reg plates on all the cars?
My guess is it's something to do with 50 as in Hawaii 5-0....?
Anybody know?

it is unknown, only the devs will know. i seem to remember vibroboy commenting once about it as being some sort of development code. as it used tyo be, all cars had the code NCX 999 or something similar (look at early screenshots)
i would love for an update to include abilities to customize mine, nipper would be my license plate
apart from slackys S7, that would be slacky rolleyesa

Customising plates would be so open to abuse. Imagine plates containing words such as.....
well I don't need to go into detail really :)

err, LIVE has got word filters built in, just implement those :)

I play WWE SVR07, created a guy, Riddick from Pitch Black etc. But the word filter on LIVE wouldn't let me use "Riddick" as a name cos of the last 4 letters. Word filters are seriously ****.

best plate i ever saw on a car was on a porsche 911 turbo - HOT 4 S** - use your imagination... :p
mind you it was parked in Southend, Essex at the time, he probably didn't need the car, the plate would be good enough on its own there

I once saw a F355 with the number plate "60 NE" and on the back they had been pushed together to read "60NE" i.e. "Gone". Was awesome.

my dad has pictures of a car he bought in california... he changed the plates to standard ones after trasporting it back to Calgary, Alberta... but the plates it came with read MYFNCAR.
and im sure youve all seen this one... but it seems the state of Florida didnt think that the big orange in the middle might look like an "O"
http://home.arcor.de/shismatic/kurios/schilder/a55orgy.jpg
word is, this was a state issued plate, on a car owned by a doctor... it gained nation attention and has since been replaced, and probably off the list of available plates in Florida.

That S7 TT looks like a photoshop. The letters don't seem to be one the same angle.
As for 505, it stands for when the game really hit public news.
May 2005.
