Review Test Drive for PC

i'v got a Previeuw of test drive unlimited. out of a magazine.
im so kind to chare it with you all :-)

game did good 90% scrore out of 100.

With positief points: lots of cars, many missions and good concept
and negative: sound isnt always good and AI has some weird random problems

(for those of you who understand dutch, you'll enjoy this :) )

well has anyone played the BETA for PC? cus ive heard people talking about how they bought every car and the best houses already and have millions of $$... I was hoping the game would be more like WoW in the sense that u can play for months and months and still not have the best stuff. Because if u can get the best car in the first few weeks the game is gonna get boring really fast.

Should be you can only win races 1st, 2nd, 3rd time winnings only max 10 times racing... A limit to how many times you can get money...
BUT, there is ALOT of space to cruise around with the slower/lower cars with friends...

I had some dude that was showing where a shop was, and he was driving a lower ranked car and I in one of the best, he was driving the normal speed and I couldnt because the car would just ram the pedal through the floor board driving past him in the first gear...
Its almost impossible to cruise with the best of cars...
They are mostly made for racing...

You start out with a low-end whip, but you can work your way up very, very fast ...

I doubt seriously the saves from the beta will transfer either. We had a head start during testing of playing the game ... that's advantage enough.

If they do reverse course and let the save transfer, you'll see folks with Mustang GT-Rs and Chrysler ME-12's zipping around ... and a lot of gamers ticked off ...

Yeh, I useually cruise around...
BUT most the time you have people wanting to race you in their fastest cars...
Kinda annoying, but I just get my faster car...LOL
There is people (like my brother almost 30) that loves annoying people by ramming them and acting like a 5 year old...I play Seriously because I love this game...
Wish I could be Ingame COP and giving out tickets and Banning people from the game for a few hours/days/months/years/forever...he he...
I think thats whats needed as well, Ingame Cops or something to get rid of the trash bothering other people, swearing ...Grrrr makes me angry even thinking of it...

Well, I agree with NecroViolator, the beta was too easy... just a few races and we were able to buy a F430... it's a "B-Class" car! rolleyesa

Cars I used:
1 - "Saturn Sky" - "F class" - (OMFG! worst car in the game. I was so desperate to have money to buy another car... simple Audi A3 could work. But I decided to save the "money".)

2 - "Ferrari F430" - "B class" - Just like that I have a Ferrari... (in such short time) rolleyesa
I've easly won the 40minute (I think) race . (Mine was "stock", no tuning at all).
The long races were the most easiests.

3- "Koenigsegg" - "A class" - At this point I had around 2million "credits" to spend... "Why not? What a hell, I need a "A class" car anyway..."
I didn't like this car... great in a straight line, but in corners in high and low speed... nightmere! eekblue:

After that I've buyed some other cars... but just because of some race class restrictions and specific models.

I think it could be better to buy cars by Class sequentiality... F, E, D, C... but is so easy to buy a "B class" just with a few hours of game... Doesn't sound right... it's easy money... too easy.
Maybe Atari made the Beta like that, to give us the possibility to test a wide range of classes and maybe to test 100% of the game...

Let's believe that the final version is more difficult... to enjoy more cars, more gameplay... Well, I think is not very funny just to finish the game, even before the first "new car downloads" arrival... i desperately want to have the Audi RS4... but to play with it... not just to cruise after the end of the game.

Yeh, I hope the Final is more hard...
But I think people are going to be releasing Hard Mods or some other MODs for the game...
I was thinking of releasing "Real Engine Sounds", because the Car Engines were totaly bogus...

Anyway, I think the "Hard Mod" can be created because ALL the Single Player races are Single Player and dont bother the Oline Game Play at all :p ...

It should of been that you can ONLY Win money for Max of 10 races and after that its all about 1st, 2nd, or 3rd positioning... That means if you race and win 10.000 then you can race as many times as you want to become 1st or what ever, but you get paid only 10 times...
Example:
10.000 1st prize x 10... Thats IF you come in 1st all the time...
You might come in second half the time making it much harder to get more money, not to mention the 10 time pay limit...

Although this might suck on those super annoying never win races...
BUT the 10 time limit ONLY counts if you come in 1st, 2nd or 3rd ...

The magazine is called PC Gameplay. Its a dutch magazine and it has always been correct.
here is there site, you can see the front of the magazine and it says review of test drive unlimited. and that was what i tried to post.
It also has video footage of the game on its included DVD.
