View Full Version : Connection Problems
If i am having connection problems on the game is it very noticable.
I loaded it up today and i can see other players (not all of them) jumping about but with no connection error symbol above them, has also happened with AI cars.
I am moving around the game very smoothly from what i can tell. confusedb
Cheers

Check your NAT and Make Sure it is Not Strict...same thing happened to me
Simple way to figure it out is....
If a few people have white names with connection problems then your NAT is strict or Moderate
If they are Red/Yellow and have connection Problem beside their name then the server hasnt connected you/them to the person with the connection
*EDIT* sorry misread you saying they had no connection errors
Sounds to me like they just have Very Poor Connections

i've had this but realised it tended to happen if i'm also using the 360's music player independently of the game (ie not using the user radio feature). reckon the 'streaming' the music off the hard drive at the same time really affected internal data transfer rates for the game.
dunno if this applies to you but thought i'd mention it.

Checked again and the NAT was indeed moderate, i had changed it to open and put the 360 in the DMZ but it seems it changed it all again.
Cheers marc. :)

I dont seem to have any problems steaming music from an external HDD plugged into the USB port while playing. :)

DMZ? DE-MILITARIZED ZONE? lol pretty sure thats not what it means but ive never heard this one before, anyway it is a lag problem it happens alot for me during peak hours in my neighbor hood. this may also cause other players to just oblitherate you . my buddy was lagging the other day and i drove through the center of where he was lagging at about 100 and just creamed him i dragged him for a good 900 yards (sweet i had to google to figure out that 900 yards is 822.96 meters) cause we are to lazy to embrace the metric system.
I remember about ten years ago we tried. but stupid parents were cryin because there little learning defficit children were being "over stressed".
can I move to Europe? im so terribly tired of my country, I vote every year I can and the other guy always gets elected. then a year later everyone that voted for him/her is complaining to me about what is being done wrong in the office does anyone hate switzerland? I hear they are always neutral and have a killer banking system.
sorry about the off-topicness rant
