View Full Version : can't connect to servers?... plz help?
Hi All,
well I've been playing this one for quite some time and it worked just fine... I got my gold membership up and running and since then TDU always says that "TDU servers are unavailable try again later"... but my connection is fine I download stuff from xbox live no problems etc...
does anyone know what I should do, coz I think that I really am not connected to the servers coz there aren't that many ppl driving around anymore... but there are some, which is weird...
plus I noticed one thing, are there bot players in the game? Whenever I park out of my hous there is this guy Charlie 67m far and driving always the same car, always in the same direction etc etc..
many thank in advance,
:respect:

only thing i can think of is to check that you are still signing in your live account before running the game? as has been mentioned elsewhere, sometimes this can cause problems. had this myself so now i boot the 360 to dashboard by default, log into live then run the game, not happened since.
dunno if that's your problem but worth checking. hope it helps :)

charlie is an ai racer allong with william tom and a couple other first name racers if you challeng them they will always accept. and there ranking is really high even though when you race them your score doesn't go up or down. the only thing i can think of is that maybe if your internet connection isn't fast enough or maybe run a diagnostics on your xbox live connection and see what the nat category reads it should be open but if it is strict or closed you will have trouble connecting
thanks for the replies, but non of the above is the issue... I have a rock solid 2mbit ADSL connection, not fastest but fast enough...
NAT is on Open, xbox live status is fine, passed all connection settings, downloading content from XboX live just fine (just did a 470mb download in less than 10 minutes)...
I even tried creating a new user, but that gave me the same problem...
problem occured when my free gold membership month expired and I updated to full gold membership... since then I can't connect to TDU servers....... and this sucks a lot... and yeah I tried with loging in each time (starting up to dashboard then log in), but still the same thing....
I found out that Atari had those problems with several users and categorized them as "too many players during peak hours" which should have been fixed with the update thingy from last year... anyone heard anything else?
Also, I am in Norway, so maybe that has some probz?... dunno....
any help greatly appriciated... thanks guyz and galz...

Perhaps your ISP has some routing issues or latency problems on certain routes?
This is hard to qualify because you wouldn't know which IP addresses or netblocks that your 360 is trying to reach when you connect to the TDU servers... unless you had a way of monitoring your WAN port traffic such as a linux based router.
