Just incase no one noticed the Challenger is messed up

Real '71 Challenger

I don't see any white letter's on the TDU one, unless I'm just blind
and see painted mirrors on the TDU one, not chrome, I also see two of them on the TDU one, which i only supposed to have one
They also messed up the grill
And I see some louvers on the real one,but guess what, the TDU one doesn't have them
It is also supposed to have a deep rumble from that HEMI, not a weird sound that is the exact same as the Firechicken
The interior is about the only thing they didn't screw up on, but they put a 4-speed auto, when it should have a Hurst Pistol Grip

what do you expect? it was free.
hmmmm go and buy a real one. this is a game. next you'll be asking to get wiplash when you hit a tree in TDU

Like someone already said, go buy a real one. I don't think the game is supposed to replace the real thing anyway.

they look the same to me, at the end of the day there are gonna be a few minor details missed on the cars but who cares, i highly doubt you could do better TBH!

The red ones in his pics are the Hemi version. The 383 one looks better though.

No one cares. Are you and helth and safty inspector becouse how can you notice such tiny mistakes. That paving slab is 0.221212 mm to high, take it out and spend 10 billion pounds replacing it. Sorry having a dig at out local council.

I'm personally happy as long as I can recognize it as a Challenger, not to mention to cruise along in it. I don't really see any point in wasting time and money replicating all those small details no one is ever going to notice. It's only a game, after all.

that's the thing, it barley looks like one, if I heard it without seeing it I'ld think it's a European car, not even close to a HEMI and why is it auto? :mad:

not that it really matters but all of you people saying that just because this is a videogame, we should buy the real thing if we wanna see the real thing but ,
scratch the post and start over just pointing out the subtle differences between the real challenger and the game challenger. do it this way because, while this game may not represent realisticly every car as it is in real life ie well every dang muscle car in the game basically as far as visually and performance wise, it was a goal I think of Atari and Eden to come pretty darn close to real life and they might appriciate positive constructive feedback. in other words its not that they SCREWED UP its that ther were some minor discrepencies between what was in real life, and in the game.
p.s. the hood slopes down just a hair too steep real life challenger is not that much of a wedge. and it would have been much cooler if it had had the muscle wing on the rear deck

I agree with him, but I'd be happy if they put tires on the car in the game! It's got 2" wide tires!

the white letter tires that were required for the 426 HEMI and I wish it had a shaker like that one

y notice that all the cars in tdu have the same tires.. i doubt theyd make an exception so the challenger can have the correct tires..

They don't all have have the same tires...wth game are you playing. The Challenger clearly has too skinny of tires on it...they just gotta fix that and I'll play the game again.

What puzzles me is why he is so bothered, it's cheap, it's rubbish and only the blind or inbred seem to drive them. (No wait that is insulting the blind)
I have come across quite a few people on TDU in them, most of which struggle to construct a sentence which is understandable. Plus the constant "ting" of the tobacco hitting the pot, makes it most distracting.
And as most nice folk on these boards have pointed out, it's a free download and it's a game.

And pokespeare.. havent all of us "gearheads" come to grips with the fact different motorheads like different types of motors? And if any of you Clarkson thumping youngsters had any kind of concept of automotive diversity, and actually spent some REAL time behind the wheel of any of said muscle cars.. i serously doubt youd have such a polarized opinion of these types of cars. You may still not LIKE it, but at least you might "get" it. Same goes for the idiot renaming the Enzo, and anyone who feels the need to make mass-asumptions and gross genralizations about who drives what and why. Would it be so hard to say "i dislike the challenger because (insert any itelligent comment about why you dont like it... aside from cornering... unless you are prepared to offer up a similar type/age car made outside the US which has dramatically different handling) Ie, pitting it against a mini cooper is silly, just like pitting a Dodge Ram against a supercharged ariel atom is silly. Just like asuming that cars that auction for 80,000 and up are quickly scooped up by the nearest toothless redneck, is silly.
