View Full Version : Dodge viper going far too fast than normal?

I had two guys in dodge vipers, they both had a red-yellow paint job and they were going much faster than a normal viper.

I know this as I raced one and he kept up with the koenisegg?

I raced him again thinking it could be done with manual transmission just like the saleen, but still he beat me by far.

He wasnt even lagging?

So has anyone got any idea how this can be done, he told me it was a NOS bottle but thats bullsh**.

Any feedback?

Cheers

Could they have been stage 3 tuned?

It's actually quite simple. The Viper is not an abhorrent disease like you Brits seem to think it is. It's actually a good car. Imagine that!

yes thats true. the viper has more ccm as the saleen. viper = 8.3l, saleen = 7,0l i believe

if you good listen you maybe hear the engine drinking

i saw a viper srt-10 coupe in a country town in essex here in the uk a few years back (epping if anybody's interested) and it was waiting to pull out onto the main high street as i went by.

epping has a long, very wide main road (more like u.s. size than uk!) and once i'd gotten about 500 yards past it, i heard it pull out way behind me!!

couldn't believe just how dang loud it was, it sounded awesome, i loved it :bravo:

wish we had more cars like that in the uk, don't care how suitable they are for our roads, you don't have to be doing 200+mph to appreciate a car like that

The Viper on TDU does 0-60 in 2.5 seconds with 600hp. We need a Hennessey to combat the Saleen's shear speed.

Thats because the Viper has a V10 and the S7 has a V8.

i can say that its only a matter of time as i have seen the hennessy viper glitch more than once.

i dont know how to reproduce the glitch like the lexus in trade glitch but more than once i have seen the hennessy in the trade server load as every car on trade.

excuse me i just soiled myself just thinking about it 900 gloriously crafted horsepower packed into a car that had to be enlarged just to fit the new ten cylinder gas guzzleing behemouth

The Saleen doesnt just have a higher top speed, you can get it to do 0-60 in 2.26 seconds, that definately beats the vipers 2.5secs.

:mefiant: However if I recall correctly when TDU first came out and people were gliching SS7TT's to get ridiculous speeds, and post dubious records. There are several cars that have the ability to be 'glitched' and this is why all speed challenges now require ten more seconds to complete, due to the lag between actual speed and recorded speed. Achieving a 2.25 0-60 performance should easily be possible with some minor modifications. Plus it would be more easily affordable than most other cars in its performance class.

'Speaking of gears, the Viper Coupe retains the same long-winded and clonky six-speed gearbox and cramped pedal-box as the convertible, but to my mind mastering those is part of the Viper experience. Dodge secretly admits that they don't mind if the gearbox and pedals deter some folks from buying a Viper. If people aren't willing to master the controls, they reason, chances are they're not going to take the time to learn how to drive this animal properly, which is how Vipers end up in trees. This also explains why the Viper will never be sold as an automatic - Dodge wants the Viper to be for hardcore drivers, not for those looking for something to pose in.' The Saleen is even more unrealistic then the Viper is, so you can shut up about that. It's not like we're playing Gran Turismo or anything.
