steering wheel problem - help please :p

well...i tried the open beta, great game , i really like it.
But i cant play the game with the wheel (MS Wheel) , the game wont load with the wheel connected (usb), the weird thing is that..i try to load the game with my wheel connectd and it freezes after the Atari intro..1..2...3 minutes stopped (black screen). If i disconnect the wheel from the usb the game keeps loading normally, dont even need to use ctrl+alt+del or anything, just take the usb cable out during the hang up and the game goes on to the main menu. thats...really annoying lol, i really want to buy this game...but im not sure if ill buy it if the steering wheel wont work , does anyone knows how to solve this?
im using windows xp x64...athlon x64 3200+, 1gb ram , ati radeon x800 256mb

Most likely a bug that will be fixed in the full retail version. You were a beta tester so u have to tell them what happen so they can fix it. That was ur job :p ..

What Video settings did u have ur TDU set too?? I myself have a X800XT PE

its not bug... im playing with wheel... =\
may ur problem is with the wheel or try to press
Options-->Controls-->Options
and there u have something with Wheel press on it and see whats happend its not sould to help its for fix handling of wheel but may its will help or maybe your wheel isnt good =\

how is he still playing the beta when the beta tests are finished? Ive tried to run the beta the day it was finuished and it told me that the beta test was finished and it wouldnt go any further

xtermin8or - i have a radeon x800 pro...i use...1024*768 , medium or low graphics and no AA...but its ok :p

HighWayDriver - ive seen ppl with some issues using MS pads too...im using a MS wheel..is your wheel from microsoft?

steve30x - this is an atari forum , so i hope theres no problem in talking , but u cant still play it...just block testdrive unlimited in the firewall or disconnect from the internet and set the date in the computer 3rd february 2007 or less :p , of course u won´t have any multiplayer options but at least u can try the game in single player...

Humm...so it seems a mistery this problem...didn´t saw anyone with the same problem anywhere...really hoping that the final version will work! if someone knows what is this and/or how to solve it please speak :p

even though I have my Graphics cards overclocked a little and my CPU @ 21% overclocked I still only run medium settings. You will need a very good C2D CPU and good Graphics card to run this at maximum.
