colored names

hey you guys, I was just wandering, what does it mean when someones gamertag is displayed in a different color I.E. red yellow or white?
ive tried figuring it out on my own but it stumps me every time. it doesnt appear to relate to connectivity, user activity, distance, whether or not they are talking/ have a mic. :mefiant: just curious

Game Manual is pants, dont trust it.

No-one outside of Atari knows what the colours of the names are. (unless im mistaken).

There was another thread like this a while back, they thought it was something to do with the connection each player has to the server.

I've seen people with connection issues with their GT in various colours and people parked up right next to me with various colours which doesn't totally conform to either theory so the plot thickens.

everytime im on a server with people who have white tags and im anywhere near them the game lags

I must admit, I always have trouble with people with a white GamerTag. I was messing around at the drag strip and there were 5 other people there. There was a CCR and an Enzo and they both had white GamerTags and were lagging like buggery to the other people. Everyone else seemed to be ok with red and yellow GamerTags.

I hope a mod can clear this up for us.

I was white to my mate once and vice versa there was no lag, and yet i've seen people with red lag like there's no tomorrow, hopefully somebody in the know will reply and let us know for sure. If not, it may be worth e-mailing tech support to find out.
