1. In the Maserati-Video on the TDU Homepage you can see a police car driving by...will there be police in the game chasing you like in the old NFS-Series?

2. In the same clip, you see the Maserati crashing into another car at a high speed, however it seems as if that didn't do any damage to it. Is there not going to be a car-damage-model like e.g. in World Racing? That would be terrible...

Thanks for your answers.

Luckily, NO.
It has MUCH better style police, the police cars are solid (i.e. not 10kg, but near 1000 or smth)
You only get busted when you are standing still and a cop is near...

There's no damage. It's not possible in a MMOC(ar)D(riving)G, if someone would crash you, you had too much damage to pay for, so everyone should drive careful. If they are crashers, you lose your 1.5 million Mclaren F1 LM, which would scuk.

1...Nope
2...Nope

1...I think in Single Player the cops chase you all over the place...
IN Online you only get chased while racing Single Races...
When you get higher "badges" you wont see the Police untill the 3rd Badge and you only get a Ticket...
You WONT see any police chasing people Online at all...

2...Nope...No damage, only to Traffic...

well actually there is damage. you can setup multiplayer and some single player races to have a driving guage, somekind of health system. when the guage reaches zero you're out. its a good tool to prevent cutting corners and driving offroad in multiplayer races.

you mean that thing?

cause cutting corners shouldn't get you -30 per 15 seconds.

i thnik you can set it into really low numbers like 10 or 20. which means 2 or 3 cuts and you're out.

yes, but you can't even drive on the grass, what doesn't damage the ride...

it's not really damage...

touching a car -15
full throttle hitting a car -15... :/

1st Point - The police hardly bother with you online, 3 Badges and its a ticket or off to jail for 30 seconds

2nd Point - For the fact of licence issues for damage, companies wont allow it in TDU for the fact that it will leave a bad impression on the company. So Atari/Eden left out damage for the matter of not falling out with many companies so they can keep the licence for more future TDU's

"Luckily NO"? Getting chased by the police for bad driving would add so much more to the game in terms of fun. Getting a set amount of jail time based on the seriousness of the driving offense might make for better drivers.
How much fun is getting busted by a cop while standing still? Sounds more like parking meter cops. SS

if you really annoy the police to the point where they have road blocks etc just pull off the road and hide behind a house until they get bored. you can see them driving round like nutters looking for you, but after a while the badges decrease and your free to cause some more havoc :atari:
