Not in this forum... I want to know if there's a way to switch off those pop-ups in the game (the little envelope icon) that tell you you've got a message.

1) Don't do any races, any challenges, buy or sell on trade, make a club, join a club, download any downloadable content, buy any clothes, do any missions, buy any cars or buy any houses.
2) Keep your 360 off. tonguegre

In all seriousness though, no there isn't a way to stop that notification appearing, sorry.

Get a little piece of paper and some blu-tac and when it pops up next, simply stick the paper over it. thus solving your problem...

...and blocking your screen even more while you race/cruise and creates yet another problem therefore negating the point in doing it...

...thats why i said SMALL piece of paper, so you can still see the screen, and anyway it wasnt a serious suggestion :rolleyes:

Because, so far, none of the messages tell me anything I don't know already; they're all just announcements that I've got to Expert Level, unlocked an achievement, bought a house, downloaded some new content and so forth.

That is a good point, but i dont notice it anymore so it doesnt affect me

It may be that I've missed something but I did check the instruction manual and it says nothing about emails/messages.

Is there a quick way to check an email when that icon flashes, or do you have to go back to your house and view all the messages via the "News" tab?

As far as i know, you have to go to your house to access the message

I'm sure the is a way. try going through the options whilst in your car....
