Hey peeps,

Wanted to use my controller to do some races and make money faster than using the wheel :P

But i have changed all my settings to work with the wheel and now I've started using my controller again the settings are way off :/ I've tried a few different setups and disabled the wheel but it seems to be really sensitive by doing small adjustments when doing 100mph makes u go flying off the road. Yet when doing 5mph and trying to turn around it just wont turn :/

Also i kept going to the left a little but this could of been my controller haven't tried to reboot my 360 to see if it reconfigured itself :P

Just wondering what settings should i change and by how much? I never remember the cars being this uncontrollable but yet i remember being able to drive around another car perfectly, yet now cant even turn around on a 2 lane road :P

The only challenges I found difficult with the wheel are the motorcycle challenges. I find the MS Wheel provides more control than the thumbstick. The wheel makes it easier to stay on the shoulder at high speeds. Once you find tune your wheel settings, you will not go back. My sensitivity is set at the 7th notch from the right. Linearity is set about the middle (I do not recall which notch off hand, I will post it later). For quick money, do the 180mph in Traffic on the Left-Center of the island. Simply start the challenge, turn around, and ride the shoulder to 180mph. It'll take you about 20 seconds a run and earn you a quick $70k. I use the Koenigsegg CCR.

Also make sure the wheel is actually enabled by hitting the "X" button. The check-box must be checked. The centering will only work when the wheel is plugged in and powered up. I made these same mistakes when I first hooked mine up.

Yer i can do it with the wheel and what not, just wanted to do that challenge with the controller so i can lie in bed and do it/ just pick up and play :P

Only thing now when using my controller after my wheel has been setup i cant even keep my god damn car straight. As soon as i touch left or right it seems to send me flying off the road.

Thanks for the advice, i might just lie in bed with my wheel then :P

I understand now. You need to disable the wheel (just toggle it off in the settings with the "X" button). The Linearity value will stay in the settings. Write down the sensitivity value you have set for the wheel. Readjust your sensitivity for the controller. Write that down also. Having these values written down will allow you to quickly switch back and forth. I do it all of the time for motorcycle races.
