Communication in game?

hey guys, is there a way of talking to people and mates in the server ? a buddy list or just type ingame ?

you can also use the the implemented voice communication software but it doesnt have any usefull settings like software that is specificaly done for online voice communication. if you're playing with your friends, i suggest using some 3rd party software like team speak or ventrilo.

there is a buddy list if you install gamespy arcade, while in game there isnt. You can see with the friends filter on the map where and which of your friends is freeroming around the island, but you cant communicate with them unless you manage to catch them in game.

i watched loads of the videos around an im guessing the red names are people in your car club ?

no, the color of the drivers name mean how good is your connection with that individual. it goes from red, orange, yellow and white, red being optimal and white the worst. There is also a light blue/gray color with a pause sign by your name, which means that the driver is in pause mode.

people in your club have no visual marks in freeride or normal race modes, but i havent tried the inter club ones.

Communication is bad. There should be global chat and chat in the clubs.
