cant get RCT 3 to work any help please?

Hiya

I have recently brought a new laptop with the following spec-
intel petium dual core processor t2060 (1.60 ghz 533 mhz fsb 1 mb l2 cache)
it also has an intel graphics media accelerator 950
120 gb hdd and a 1gb ddr2

The game loads up fine, a pop up came up to say it will run the game at high quality due to my laptops spec, but when i load a park its really dark, i can make out the rides but that is all i can see thought it might be nightmode but it isnt. i tried changing the games settings but it has done nothing can still hear the game and see the rides briefly but noway could play the game, the start up and index to the game is find tho?

any help would be really appriciated

Im surprised the game can even run on a intel graphics media accelerator 950.... :mefiant:

*Goes to check*......Microsoft* DirectX* 9 Vertex Shader 3.0 and Transform and Lighting supported in software through highly optimized Processor Specific Geometry Pipeline (PSGP)

Not sure what the problem is there.........I'll do some digging..... :)

Hi Jenny

As Fluxx said, I'm afraid your card doesn't support RCT3. You will need either an ATI Radeon 8500 or a GeForce 3 or superior to run the game. The GeForce MX series isn't supported either.

Strange that you can see stuff but its all dark..... :mefiant:

I think your problem stems from the fact that its doing Transform and Lighting in software.............you need a card that does it in hardware.

Trouble is, it depends if your laptop is in any way upgradable...... :noooo:

hi guys thanks alot for your help, really anoyed the guy told me it would run the games and it was a good quality laptop, obviously lies. it doesnt matter it works on my mum's pc!
