Servers not online yet?

So I have it all installed and everything, but don't seem to be able to set up my online profile. Has anyone else managed this yet?

Hey i have the same problem tryed three differend gamespy account so i think the servers are still down too.

This makes me think the actual release is the 2nd March whereas some retailers have put the game out for sale as they've received it. Most stores will get a game from the distributor 2-3 days early normally.

I was able to make an online profile, and got very sparse messages that "it lost connection" - I assume they're online, or does the game check for connection loss only every 15 weeks?

Oh, wow. Hmm I wonder if this can be a firewall issue then. I recently installed a new router. Anyone know what port needs opening for TDU?

IV. GameSpy Firewall Ports



When you play on a system that is behind a firewall or proxy, certain ports may need to be opened to connect to multiplayer games.

You must be able to access these external ports:

UDP 8880->8889

UDP 8890

UDP 27000->30000

TCP 6667

TCP 27000->30000

You have to open the following local port: TCP8889

Ports 17475 and 9961 (TCP/UDP) must be opened.

What's your network setup like? I have tried a few different things now and am still not getting online... Like the router settings above, DMZ, no firewall at all...

As odd as it seems the problems I was having connecting to the servers seem like they might have been related to the user name I was using for the Beta versions... :mefiant:

I couldn't get online using any of them, on either computer, with either cd key. However, upon creating a brand new user profile for my gamespy accounts it works on both systems. Bizzare...

That's what we thought until people were getting on yesterday.

I had a brief period this afternoon where I couldn't get on, but other than that I have been fine today. I also had some user name troubles where my beta user name wouldn't connect. I made a new one and am all set.

I'm online right now on one of my other systems as a matter of fact! :)

I made three new gamespy account and none of them worked :hin:

With the one from the beta it ses that de servers are not available, and with the new ones it ses that the username is invalid!!

The used accounts Gamespy in Betas of TDU cannot be used in the final version because they do not let connect to the game online and single they allow to play ofline.
It is necessary to create a new account in Gamespy.

Help me out here - I'm pretty clueless with regards to this GameSpy stuff (other than visiting their website and reading their reviews on occasion).

If I fill out the form in the game with a username, email and password, will a new account automatically be created for me? I tried that and subsequently got an "invalid password" message during login. That error didn't really seem to fit in anywhere, leading me to believe I need to create my account elsewhere.

I went to the GameSpy site, and I'm having a bit of hard time seeing where I might create such an account? The closest I could find redirects me to an "IGN Insider" account (I think I got an old one of those actually), but that doesn't seem particularly game related.

Thanks. The supposed password conflict was apparantly because you can't have more than one Gamespy account under the same email address, and I already had an old account I had forgotten about.

i have a big problem:
when i enter the first time in the game (let's say i restarted my pc) i can play for about 5 minutes then i get a "network conection lost" msg :mad: and then it extits to the main menu... then if i connect again the message appears sooner and sooner until i can't connect at all

so pleas does anyone know what thid is about????

Apparently the TDU server dosent use the nickname you create at gamespy, just type in any username followed by your gamespy email and password.
If you get "the same username is already used with another password", try another username.
And as someone said, beta nics dosent work :(.
