ok i'v got the game from this afternoon.
yet i have a few problem and i hope someone know the answeres.
- i have only sound on the left speaker.
how do i fix this? i looked in the audio setup but i can change the balans there. in windows and all other audio progs or games i have sounds on both speakers. solution? anyone?
- how do i get that game online? i took over my account from the beta.
i have a gamespy account, how do i get online???

the game seems ok and fun so far :-)

You CANT play the BETA Save that I know of...
And which Windows are you using ???
Vista ??? Win2003 ??? XP ???
I dont get any sound only at the atari logo.
And the account, that was a hassle. My old gamespy account didnt work. Tried it again and again.. Had to make a new hotmail account to.
The worst: my g25 wont work with it.

i know, when i was in beta, i couldnt get my CooliceT name, even though i had a gamespy with that name, rather old... and i forgot the details on it. but still couldnt recover that name. so had to use a new one :(
i do hope i can get CooliceT in live, if i cant i need to contact either gamespy... or Atari and sort it. thats my game name, cant live without it :(

The online portion of the PC version isn't controlled by Live. It's gamespy again. If it didn't work in the beta it's not going to work now. Better get in touch with gamespy if you want any chance.

WTF, this is exactly what I asked a while ago when Beta'ing IF they removed our OLD accounts so we can still use our names in the Final...

Do you have to LOG on with Gamespy ??? Cant use ordinary Email ??? GOOGLE Mail ???...

you need a gamespy account to log onto online. You can use a free account though, and whatever email you want to create that account.
dam, i guess i have to contact gamespy. :/
TRY TO! Change your name in gamespy from CooliceT to something else or delete this name. Cause game makes new nick in your gamespy account.
BTW is game runing faster than beta? Is it optimized?

Hey Guys,
A friend is having some trouble with his graphics. He meets all the hardware specs but his video card stottering graphics it's unplayable. His card is a ati radeon is a x1600 pro from ati. My version with a geforce is working fine.
The servers are online. I can connect and drive with others.
I dont get any sound only at the atari logo.
And the account, that was a hassle. My old gamespy account didnt work. Tried it again and again.. Had to make a new hotmail account to.
The worst: my g25 wont work with it.
Ok i fixed it. Something with the soundcard drivers. Reinstalled and problem gone.
The wheel that was my bad. Im just tired, having a cold and fever.

Ok we fixed the problem to. But it was not the soundcard. There was a steering wheel installed which was probably not supported. When removing it from usb the game is playable.
Can you guys check your cpu. It is running at 100% but not taking that much mem usage. I can play the game on high settings but if I change it to lower the cpu remains on 100%.
Why am I complaining it runs ok and I'm online.

Is anyone else having some problems with 8800GTX cards?
I have two main gaming systems here. One is Intel E6600 with a 7800GTX, the other is an AMD 4600+ with an 8800GTX.
I was playing along with the 8800GTX without too many problems, but still fairly noticeable stutters from time to time. I play at 1920x1200 on that machine so I thought maybe that was simply too much with 4x AA etc.. So I dialed it back a bit, but no difference. I tried doing a car delivery, which was just not possible, stutters at ALL the wrong moments. The kicker is that the E6600 with the 7800GTX that the wife uses (albeit at 1280x1024) has been running smooth as silk.
This led me to take my spare 7800GTX and swap out the 8800GTX to see if that could be the cause. Guess what? It runs really smoothly with the 7800GTX... Fewer frames per second, but it NEVER stutters. So to stay with decent frame rates I have had to move back to 2x AA :mad: not to mention having a £300 paperweight at the moment!
All this is in XP by the way. I am thinking I might put the 8800GTX in the Intel box, which is running Vista, and see if that works. I can always run the 7800s in SLi I suppose.
So anyway, anyone else had issues with the 8800 cards?

What was the point in us beta testing this game? The sound issue was reported many times by beta testers(myself included) and yet its still in the final version.
For shame atari.
Should I also assume that they haven't smoothed out the ridiculously angled roads which cause even NPC's to crash out at 30mph??

Well with the name from the beta it ses that i cant get a connection with the server that i have to check my connection.
When created an extra gamespy account just now it ses name invalid :hin:
So is it confirmed that the servers are offline till tomorrow ore do I have to look for the problem elswhere

I was happily playing online all morning today, without any problems, and this afternoon too actually, until about an hour ago when I stopped to do some work. Now I can't get back on... :cry:

i totaly have no clue.
its an onboard soundcard.
but everything else runs great with sound out of TWO speakers.
seems thats a known problem with the beta testers.
its sucks if they didnt fixed it.
the intro movies play fine, game doenst...
i want a mod or somthing to reply on this. this is not acceptable.
also lack of availbe servers isnt fun.
i cant continue on my profile because its online and the servers arent availble.
let me play on in singleplayer than. no to do so i have to play in another profile. i aint going to build up everything in two different profiles ...
mods reply on this would be nice.
Likely to be a Realtek, which is what I have in my laptop and I had the same problem in the beta.

Me, no. I only had the beta and won't be buying until they patch the glaring bugs. No patch no buy :mad:

I'd like to know that too... I don't have my copy yet, but I hope it will work with my GTX. Maybe you sholud update the drivers.
During the beta people were advised to disable SLI and set the game to use only one core of a dual core processor.
I don't use SLI and I don't think that dual core should be a problem. Maybe with some older dual core pentiums, but not with core2duo CPUs.

Even for core2duo it was advised to only use one core.
you gotta remember that this is a port from the xbox with unfortunately what appears to be very little optimisation for the new platform.
I'm disapointed by these bugs too as otherwise the game is excellent

One day developers will realise that its easier to just make the game for the PC.
I can't wait to try it. I'm expecting a smooth run @ 1280X1024 with everything set on high cause I'm very aware what kind of hardware I've got and I'm not prepared for compromises with it.

It used to be like that when there were more independent developers, these days the games industry is heavily corporatised in a managerial and financial sense, with many small devco's having been acquired by the big boys.
Its all about delivering bottom line to the shareholders thesedays.
For me, if the roads werent as badly constructed as I and others in the beta felt they were, I'd buy this game right now even with the sound problems and other niggles.
Who knows, perhaps atari will smooth out the roads in a future patch, along with fixing the sound problems, if they do fair enough, I shall eat my words and hand over my hard earned for a copy.

I´m running it on Vista 32-bit, Dual Core 2 E6600, 2gb ram and a 8800 GTS, I play on 1280x1024, on all settings on max. Very smooth, extremly steady framerate. BUT I do have "microstuttering" when I enter a new Area....but I dont know if it´s possible to get ride of that?!
But I do crash to desktop sometimes, happens mostly just after a race or similiar events. Not gamebreaking but annoying....I suspect that its an issue with Securom........ :p

Great SecurRom screwing around again... Try the game on Lower Resolution for testing if there isnt any more stuttering bud... I get stuttering on Higher GFX but great gameplay on 1024x768... Might as well play on 320x200...LOL...

I agree, ffs Eden, I hade sound problems in the closed beta, the open beta and now in the retail version (the 6 months long wait is finaly over :bravo: ). I sometimes loose the right audio and sometimes all audio, the difference to the beta is that it comes back after a few seconds, but its still anoying.
I got a Creative Audigity 2 with the latest drivers som Creative. However I got a friend that sits on a Live 5.1 and he was unable to get sound in the beta, so he didnt play it, what am I going to say to him? Sorry dude theres still some audio problems in the retail version, does he going to buy TDU, I don't thinks so, so Eden, fix this! The only "solution" that I have heard of is to buy a new soundcard (X-Fi).
And no they havent fixed the roads... nore have they fixed the MB CLS55AMG revcounter. madred:

Same here, C2D, 2 GB, 8800GTX but WinXP, runs realy smooth in 1280 (LCD) and everythin on max, still got some small stuttering. I think it happens when you leave one area and the PC have to buffer the new area. Make sure that you defraging your harddrive, might help. Realy annoying when you traveling at 400+ km/h in the koenigsegg :)

I'm willing to bet the 8800GTX problem is a driver issue given what I have seen with mine in both an XP and a Vista system.
And the servers are working. I've put in almost 7 hours so far.

Als i cant continue a game that i have played earlier, the game says that he is saving but every i start TDU i have to play a new game.

We need some help overhere. Gamespy within the game does not even try to make a connection to the tdu server. Does anywhone know a sollution?
Reinstalling the game is not the sollution. Cleanen registry did not work either. When reinstalling the game it never asks fot a license key.
How can we get Bassie007 online. Without reinstalling his entire computer. :mad:
I've got a problem aswell. Suddenly none of my cars can accelerate anymore, nothing happens when I press the accelerate key. All other controls are working fine. I've tried to set accelerate to another key, but that didn't work either. Anyone got a solution?
have you started the engine? lol ^__^' now seriously in this little time so many people have posted bugs,shouldn't the beta have shown this bugs and shouldn't the RETAIL BE FIXED AND IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION,WITH OPTIONS LIKE SHADOWS AND BUMP MAPPING AND ALL THAT?
