View Full Version : Is the PSP version worth it?
@ The Mole
I want to buy the PSP version, but seeing as it has been sized down so much, and there are less cars, does the driving feel the same as the other consoles? Is it worth it?

I had an email saying £7 off from play.com if i pre order by the 23rd
But is it worth it when I am getting it for PC? O.o
Well my problem is I have a PSP and a PC. My PC has been good enough for the games I have been playing, but the specs suggest my PC isn't good enough for TDU, and I don't want to pay out money for extra money for a graphics card and ram just so I can play it, so i'm only left with the PSP version... but is it up to the standards of the others?
It's damn good fun. Forget about me being partial, I'd buy it. It's obviously arcade style, I can't possibly know if that floats your boat or not. Check the ingame videos so you can get a good idea of what the game looks like (here (http://www.uk.atari.com/index.php?pg=product&id=129) )
I'll find some reviews for you for independent advice :)
what do you mean, arcade style?
If you want to play it on the bus/train/ toilet then yes....... :respect:

Any chance of more screenshots mr mole? and also can you drive over the WHOLE island, accross all grass,up hills as in the 360 version, or does it stop at a certain point,an invisible barrier?

I want to know what the controls are like.
I tried the Toca Race Driver demo and thought the controls were just terrible.
so far I think the best racing games are Wipeout and Outrun.
Outrun's online system was alright if there was people online. but it didn't last very long :/

Ok, I've had it for some hours now (yeah, I found it at MediaMarkt today 29th March, when it's released tomorrow! :) ) My veredict is the game is TREMENDOUS, AMAZING, and something new. Okay, physics are not realistic, your car doesn't crash as in Need for Speed and there are things that could be better, but my overall feeling after playing it for several hours and just before going to have some sleep is: I love it and I want to play it tomorrow morning to continue exploring the island. In fact, I've been most of the time wondering around to see the island. :atari: You're great! Thanks for the game mdr1

i hgot the problem with the multiplayer mode. i ca see a lot of onlone drivers but when i wait to make a head to head race, nobody is there. the same is with the online race points: the comment comes always: no lobby available.
the drive in also never permitted a onlione race. do you have the same problem ?
