Can someone from atari, or a mod.... or anyone who has required information please give us some information on the update? I find it rather odd that it was dropped on us with absolutly no information.

-Is this the final build (or close to it) of the FF?
-What do the sliders for the wheel control?
-What has been changed on the handling charagteristics?
-A few other questions ive seen posted a number of times... im sure someone else will add questions to this thread

A quick search through the forum will show you that you have confused almost everyone in TDU. A patch was released which drastically changed the car's handing, adds (very sub-par) FF, which has mislabeled controls... and Atari doesnt bother to let anyone know how to use it, what has been done and why... very bizarre.

X2, lets get some information about this patch, or atleast an explanation of whats going on. I wont be putting TDU in the 360 till theres some official word.

You'd think that Atari would have created 'Release Notes' to go with it, at least when submitting to Microsoft... Shame they don't see that we may be interested in what they're releasing too...

Well obviously atari either doesnt know anything, or just wont tell us, because the mods are around but are ignoring all posts relating to the patch. :atari:

yeah, Which is why more and more I think it was a just a big mistake and didn't even mean to release it, though they would not be able to say that.

And you posted this at 23.13??!!

We have to sleep sometimes... eekblue:

When the mods know something, you know something...........its that simple....but we're not psychic.... :)

In not taking a stab at you so dont take it the wrong way... But you dont have to be psychic... Someone wrote the code, and changed the function of the slider. So someone knows what all has happened. I know anything I get which obviously requires explination, usually comes with something. Say for example, a video game... you normally dont have to wait a few days after you buy a game to recieve the instructions. Seems to me at least a vague outline of what is going on would be something that could easily be made to go along with something like this... and has got to be somewhere already, unless the programmers just went willy-nilly through it.. which the end result of the FF kinda has the quality of. Its not your fault you dont have the info, its obviously a communication problem with Atari to its customers, and their avenues to their customers (you). And this communication line is essential if Atari plans on making games designed for continual on-the-fly updates via online updates, or they are going to continue to have the hardcore members of their community (the people who play the game the most) in turmoil. Which certainly wont help Atari develop a loyal fanbase of hardcore gamers. Lastly, I realize there is a time differential and dont expect immediate responses from mods, hence my not posting anything in here asking why nobody was responding... I belive the others were confused as to why mods were posting in other threads, and not in this one, because mod posts were made while this thread was active. Anyway, im not demanding you get information you have no access to. Im just stating that its obscure to me that the Devs didnt release information/instructions on the same day the patch was released. I dont care why it wasnt. It just plain should have been. And again, your are doing your job as a mod, I just think Atari needs to be more aware of the situation, and take care of its customers. But seems to me they are either to busy, or just not that interested. Can you recomend a better person to write to than CS? I dont believe sending an email to someone who gets 1000 e-mails a day about junk going wrong, will garner too much notice.

As I've already said last night, the moderators don't have any information at all at this point about the update, in fact they didn't even know it was coming out yesterday.

I'm afraid I don't have any official information either yet.

This comment is a bit concerning...

They have known about every update before it came out, they are the ones informing us it has. Them not knowing is either a major break down in communications or the patch was released in error...

correct me if I'm wrong.

wow !!!!

I have been holding off playing TDU waiting for the patch for my wheel.

Wow !!...

I don't know what exactly they released but I am glad I read all the comments on the "Patch"...I am going to hold off playing TDU until they fix the "patch"...I don't want to patch my game and make it worse.

Thanx everyone for the feedback on the latest update. It sounds like the patch has bugs or needs to be re-released or something.

Mole - I appreciate your input on these forums. I feel if the Mole does not know and there was no "official" patch announcement....soemthing has gone wrong.

I am confident that the Mole will let us knw what when and where when he/she is able to.

Thanx Mole Please keep us in the loop asap .

ATARI / MS please fix this game properly in a timely fashion. People ask me about the MS wheel I have no comment until games are patched correctly.

hmmm....I will wait some more I guess....geesh.

P.s Mole you have your finger on the pulse of this community...if possible suggest to your higher ups some freebee content to make up for all our patient waiting???...thanx .

It seems like this patch has caused more confusion and upset.
A little more clarity needed!!

I think it's nearly time for a "When will they patch the patch" thread :)

No, sorry, maybe I didn't express myself properly. The mods knew a patch was coming, they didn't know it was coming out yesterday. They weren't told as we, at Atari, had no official confirmation it would be released so there was no point in communicating something that could or could not happen. No conspiracy theories, please.

So, did Microsoft not tell Atari they were releasing the update?

Guys, please appreciate that some information is confidential information. What we can say, we're happy to post in the forum and we do it without being prompted to.
