hi all,

a few questions about FFB, i have a logitech driveFX wheel, which is probably not the best wheel ever... But the best i could get at the time i bought it. The point is I have the last update of TDU, I thought the FFB support came with it, but i can't feel any force (at most some kind of feedback). So my questions are:

- is FFB only available with Microsoft wireless wheel?
- do I need to get the harcore mode patch to get real FFB?
- Do i really need to play all the way to champion mode (that is with boring driving physics) before i can get some "real" driving sensations?
- Does the HC mode offer feelings close to some extend to what you can get with PC sims? (GTR2, Rfactor, etc.)

Thx in advance for your feedbacks :).

The DriveFX does not have FF... so no, the update will not add hardware to you wheel. It does support rumble, and i think they eliminated rumble from the wheel with the update....

Thanks for your quick answer, so the supposed "axial feedback" is no more than a rumble effect?

Therefore the MS wireless is the only real FFB wheel for the 360 right?

I have both - the DriveFX and the MS FF wheel. Axial feedback is more than rumble but less than FF. However...it's debatable how good the FF in TDU is since the patch has been released. I'm sure the hardware for FF is all there in the Logitech wheel but MS chose NOT to let them have full FF.

You arent missing anything with this game though...if i do play it with my 360 wheel, i unplug it, and plug it back in, so it runs on the same kind of axial feeback your wheel does.

Is the FFB feeling that bad?

Yes... its terrible. Some people might try to disagree, but i tend to assume that those people arent the fastest drivers in the world. It moves in your hands, and its possible to drive with it, but it doesnt translate a single drom of usfull information to you. Its like back in the day when FF first came out, and it was pretty much just a gimmick. If you take racing games seriously the TDU FF is utter worthless garbage.

The MS wheel has a larger turning radius....that helps quite a bit when playing TDU....ie you can set linearity to a higher value and still maintain control going ina straight at high speed.
