Yeah I mean sure I want it fixed NOW but I agree they have us Guinea Pigs with PLENTY of errors/bugs to share with them so they will have had 2 weeks or so, to at least Hot-fix it, at LEAST to fix the perfomance issues(I think they left some of the 360 code in it and its wigging out GFX cards, thats just my opinion tho but to me it makes sense.) I mean if Im in the map Im getting 95fps or so double on the title screen so MY power is there, just something in this game is hobbling it.

If you look trough some x360 forums, they had exactly the same issues when the game was released. With connection problems and multiplayer-issues. They have fixed these issues in later patches, but it's so strange that atari/eden haven't implemented these fixes in the game when they have had so much time between the x360 release and the pc release.

Well it's not good enough. I've bought the game and now it sits on a shelf, un-installed.
Thanks to the multitude of controller issues makes this game unusable to me at the moment and I'm not prepared to spend more money on another controller in a vein hope it will work.
I've not even tried online yet and I doubt I will as in nowhere does it state on the box that this game uses "spyware" or "in game advertising" Only upon install are you warned and are forced to agree to installing this malware.
This my friends is illegal and you can ask for a full refund. It should be clearly stated on the outside of the box so you can make a concise decision as to making a purchase.
I paid my money fair and square and I don't want to here lame excuses. I'm just a little scared this game will be "abandoned" if the game doesn't sell well on PC and let's face it, it hasn't set the charts alight has it?

Right on, sir. I just want to add that putting this in the readme:

V. Peripherals, Gamepads, and Steering Wheels

These devices are not officially supported by Test Drive Unlimited.
is about the sleaziest bit of CYA I've ever seen from a game company.

'your wheel's not supported! in fact, NO wheel is!'

'didn't I have to open the box to find that out?'

Well it's been 1 week since uk release and still no patch, i read somewhere that they would wait until released in yankland before doing patch but it's released and we are STILL waiting. I also read somewhere that atari/eden are working on it and although they can't be working on it 24hrs a day they are doing all they can, Well if they only work 8hrs a day and have 1hr for lunch(i'm being very generous with 1hr) that leaves a 7hr working day x 5days = 35hr (per person per week) this doesn't include any overtime which obviously they don't like doing, and i assume they have more than 1 person working there. So my question is what exactly are they doing with the patch.

i can understand most programming techniques that are used in games but TDU has me completely baffled, were they drunk when they made this for the pc, i am not complaining about atari in general as most of the game they have done work quite well but this game sucks so much at the moment it could make a black hole blush.

Gone made trying to find some areas of code that are working correctly, i already sent some areas of 'bad' code to atari (the whole game, hope atari knows what to do with it)

The strange thing is that NVIDIA make the graphics for the 360 and the PS3, you would think that with all their experience they would get the PC version right.

The 360 has ATI as gfx and PS3 has Nvidia.
So i guess than this game might run better on ATI cards than Nvidia cards.
I have a Gainward Geforce 7950GT 512mb and on 1024x768 no AA and high graphics i get like 25-35fps ...and thats with an AMD Opteron 165@2,4Ghz and 2gig ram... eekblue: lowered it to 800x600 no aa and low graphics and i now have 43-50fps which i think i should have at 1024x768 no aa and high graphics....damn i even had good fps on Vegas which is demanding like hell

Fair point...i got that info off an Nvidia video on youtube.

Even running a 4 yr old computer with a 6600gt, when my graphics are not locked up im getting 25+ fps. I now can't even run the game..... :noooo:

i got it to work...i just did a clean install of WDM drivers(ViVO) but i dunno if they really got installed :P but now i had like 40-80fps in a singelplayer race and like 40-50+fps in multiplayer....so just do a clean install of gfx drivers and i think you'll be okey

I have Intel C2D E6600
2gb Ram
7900gt

and I play at 1280x1024 at full details, I even went in the driver and enabled 8x Antialiasing and 16x Anisotropic filtering seeing as the game settings max at x4 for AA and no AF setting. Still runs at a sweet 50fps (avg)
