slow gameplay issue

The game has functioned fine for about a week now, and suddently it got slow. VERY low fps, and the game hangs. I've tried to reinstall the game with no luck.
My hardware works fine in other games, so this has to be something with TDU.
Any ideas?

defrag your primary hdd and also see if there are any driver update (vista) for your gfx card

I've had the same issue myself, I tried reinstalling made no difference, when I reinstalled the game it didn't ask for a cd key, so there must be something still left behind, so your not getting a clean install.

Tried updating various drivers still the same.

To get the game working, I have recently upgraded to a SATA drive, so I booted up XP using the copy on my IDE drive, Installed on this copy and its back working, not the ideal fix, but I've not found another work around yet, nobody else seems to be having the same problem.

Do anybody no how to completely remove TDU from your system?

hit alt tab a few times in game, and the game should go back to normal performance
then play on
do have fraps running to see how much fps i have, but for me it works al the time, sometimes with one alt tab, sometimes with 4 or 5 times.
does that not work, try alt tabbing out and get back in by clicking with your mouse on the tdu pictogram in the taskbar

Yeah, I have fraps ruuning, I was getting about 30-40FPS before the problem started, but now getting 2 FPS, will try switching back to desktop, although I have tried this, not repeatedly though, as I was checking the CPU utilisation in task manager, taskmanager is reporting about 5% utilisation when in the game :mefiant:
