I've got a tip for everyone who can't start the game that have Creative Soundblaster Live! as a sound card.
I finally got my game to run, pretty smooth actually. I disabled the Creative Game Port on the sound card which makes my game start.

Though there's some issues I have got so far with the sound. There's no sound eccept the voices from npc's in the first intro. I think the game tries to use EAX or something.

I wish this may have helped someone to get their game running.

Best regards

try lowering the sound card hw acceleration, that always helps me with sound problems. also check that you haven't by accident muted any sounds from the game. i had accidentally muted the engine sounds when changing the sound levels...

btw i haven't had any problems with my sb live!

3 simple steps really. I have Win XP Swedish version, hence the wierd language for some of you, though I think you will be able to understand how to do it. As one picture says more than a thousand words.

Thomas as point to you Your Realtek should be disabled in the BIOS(that is not technically "disabled" as its still a piece of Hardware XP will still assign an IRQ etc,)
