BROKEN GAME(no surprise at this point)

So yeah I had been racing around for a few hours earlier without issue.

I just went back in to THIS....

So yeah you can basically see I DROVE the roads but apperently I musta been airborne for some of it.....But it gets WORSE(hmm again at this point how could it but NO....)

So yeah NOW its bad. Of course the game started by popping up a bunch of achievements I had already accomplished(like it did last time before I killed it and had to start over again) But NOW my Character is not mine. I have NO clothes(tho Im wearing stuff I bought)and I had 10 Ecko and 10 Ben Sherman.
You can SEE Im at Expert yet apparently I havent been to any of the dealerships and ALOT of the Challenges I KNOW I have completed are now all available again including some "Ones Shots" which I have completed.(I am REALLY annoyed about the Model Pickups because they are ALL back and I find them VERY annoying and made a point to finish them THIS time FIRST to get them off my map and outta my hair..

SO Eden/Atari whats your answer to THIS one??
its not like I did anything other than NOT play for a few hours....NOW I have LOST hours AGAIN and Missions and Achievments that I will now have to do AGAIN for a THIRD time.....
I am REALLY trying hard to be a HUGE supporter of this game but this is just getting to be TOO much hassle(As I have already restarted from a Champion Career because my game began to do this on Sunday and in my frustration and the fact the mouse centres RIGHT on NEW GAME I lost it) NOW I have been EXTRA cautious only to have the GAME pull the same trick on me sour:

I'm wondering if this isn't a server based problem corrupting files....

When I get the game i'm not guna be playing online initially (due to poor internet connection at Uni) will be interesting to see whether any of these issues occur...

I'm wondering if after the full release (some time next week) whether some of these issues will be ironed out with the inclusion of new servers...?

You better hope so mate. This is the second time the game has wigged out like this on me and I will be hard pressed to start a 3rd Career.(I may just go back to NFS:MW as my "Arcade Racer" at least it doesnt wig out every other day....)
Sad but true.
Basically 2hrs later and I get that(BTW I am on a 20/10 Fibre Optic connection so Bandwidth should never be an issue)

I had this problem in the open beta and it happened to me again last night. Really is a shame that they have not done any work on the bugs that were reported to them. Waiting for a patch now :(

I just wanted to add a few more "oddities" from this "freak out" of my Career.

I had said that there were "One Shot" missions I thought I could do again so here's some more proof(granted I DIDNT mind getting the extra cash again but....)

Lastly this is a TrackIR issue/bug IMO(I mean its BAD enough the darn thing blocks REGULAR non-TrackIR users view but I get an extra bonus for having all the right "toys" and trying to make this as "sim" as I want it to be) :mefiant:

I've got the same savegame problem as you did!

My character was completly different. Although I didn;t buy any clothing thus far all of a sudden it had other clothes on and it even wore sun glasses!

I also got those achivment messages, I had like 23 news mails from achievments I did.

When I got out of the house my roads are like yours. You got a piece of blue road wich I have driven over, and a piece of non driven roade. Followed by a piece that was driven again :hin:

And I lost a complete house! I had two houses by then, with 8 cars. 4 cars in each house. But when I went to the map to go to my other house it was completely gone with the wind!!!!

Also when I started a race to see if I can change the car in that screen it olny said the 4 cars in the house that I still had!


Hopefully it wont happen to me, it was the first time happening :nono:

Yep thats all the same thing for me(Im still stuck with the shades)until I bother to ACTUALLY buy some(but hey I'll keep the driving gloves tonguegre ).

Thankfully I didnt lose any property this time just ALOT of achievements and OBVIOUSLY alot of miles. According to the new Community Site(which Im thinking may be the source of the problem) I have clocked 740 miles but in game its in the 400s).Tho as I said I didnt complain about having to do the Car Transport again but thats not the point is it) I made a VERY concious effort to drive all the roads in the areas I had been "zoning". Oh and now my stats are broken again(my first career I lost it too got bugged after the servers went down)you know with the MILLIONS of +/- deals I have never made

Im glad Im not alone and I hope others post here as well(strength in numbers and all that)

Yep pretty much exactly that.
When the servers went down last week it did it to my first Career.
The NEW one I started on Sunday was FINE until this and yeah now its just as screwed up as the first one was(frankly it makes no diff and if you really start looking thru stuff wou will see you will have MP stuff you KNOW you havent done completed(was the same with my first career)
My BIGGEST fear is that when I get to Champion for the SECOND time its going to wig out AGAIN and I will have to start a THIRD Career.(I mean I could care less about "the typos") but when you look at the pics and see the mess THE REST of the game is now THAT I take issue with(you know because its happened to you as well)

But I wouldnt restart my Career over those wigged out numbers mine just went into a bad loop on the first one and I kinda screwed up and accidently hit New Game(well no basically the mouse will orientate itself over New Game by default) and I use my Wheel to interact with the game(got a decent button setup going)

I have the same problem, garages I have been to and bought cars are grayed out and roads I have driven on are no longer accessible, so what is the answer ? new game?

Sorry to hear that, man. I'm already PO'ed about needing to use a kludge to get my wheel halfway working. If I lost most of my progress...I don't know what I'd do, but I'd be really, really angry about it, that's for sure.

Hope you get it sorted out.

Look guys, this problem was in the beta aswell... It happenned to me loads of times (thats how I got 5 houses all with uber high priced cars very quickly lol). My suggestion is, either use the program a good guy posted in this forum to backup your game files, you could back it up yourself, or to be on the safe side, when you enter the game, from the main menu, go to video options, tick hdr (from on to off or from off to on depending on what it is) apply the settings, then, untick or retick hdr again, apply and continue your game. This way, the game never halts and so you will never lose your profile.

SJ_INSTG8R, im sorry to hear this happened. Twice too weirdblue . My only advice is backup your game saves regularly. Its a ballache, but it is a very useful habit to get into.

Guys you realize this thread has been dug up from the depths, Of course I NOW save each and every time(sometimes before AND after) but this was back when this game was first released and well this whole issue had just come to light.

But thanks for the support guys Im well over 60% done on the same corrupted career, meh it'll do until a patch comes out then hopefully I can start a fresh one that WONT corrupt...
