Its about two weeks till the end of March, and the next "monthly" dlc pack(if they actually do it monthly again, hopefully). Last month there was news saying a "Free Lexus Pack" would come out sometime in March, and it would contain 3 new Lexus's for us to enjoy. I was wondering if we're gonna see it anytime soon and if possible next week we can start getting cars named off for DLC Pack 4, it would give us something to look forward to. I hope that there caught up to be able to give us DLC4 soon because when they took that extra month of no dlc(October), we got 2 DLC packs in the next 2 months. So I'm hoping since they had 2 months off that we could possibly get packs for 2 months straight again, maybe even 3 months(not counting on it though). It would be nice though. Also this can be used as a discussion as what your hoping for in the next DLC pack, enjoy. :atari:

Lol, no offence but it took them 3months to release DLC #3 - maybe it'll be another 2-3months until DLC #4 if you ask me... Also, NO WAY are we going to get another DLC this month! :mefiant:

You know, if Atari just released a statement saying:-

"we're now officially retracting the monthly DLC statement and it will now be every 2-3months instead. However, as some sort of compensation - each DLC will now have 8-10cars instead of the 5-6 (or whatever they are) cars" - or along those line... :nuts:

I think a lot of people would be disappointed, but happy knowing they dont have to keep posting topics about "the next DLC" every month... It'd save a lot of space on this forum too! I wonder how many DLC related thread there are! lol.

BTW, im not slating this thread as its the first i've seen for DLC#4 :)
Im just saying I bet its not the last! :p

Don't get me wrong I was cross about the delay on DLC 3. However it really hasn't been out long has it?
I'm personally still enjoying the new cars and hardcore mode.

Don't even bother askin, so Atari if each DLC will come out every 2-3months and we get 8-10 cars does this mean DLC will go on untill February next year :hin:

I'm not moaning, which is why i put the relaxed face on the topic to tell everyone i'm not moaning. Its been out for almost two weeks, meaning its about two weeks till we're suppose to get the next pack. And I'm sorry, theres only so long that seven cars can entertain, but I'm still enjoying the pack and HCM, I haven't played for a month and a half till the DLC came out, and now I'm simply hoping for one more month on time, like before.

They never said anything about the Lexus pack, TDUcentral did, but it was never confirmed by Atari or Eden, so not sure if anyone should count on it. I know how everyone has high doubts that we won't see another pack till June or farther, but we got to have some faith in them. I'm still going to be playing the game even after I get FM2 simpy because FM2 can't give me interiors and the joy of cruising, but TDU will be put away for along time when I have FM2 :nuts: . You would think that would motivate them a little more since GTR, FM2 and several other racing games coming out soon.

Also, if someone is coming in here to simply say stop my bitching and we just got the last pack, then don't even waste your time posting. This is a discussion for the next pack, and a simple request from me if we're actually going to get it on time. Its better to ask two weeks in advance, then wait till when its suppose to come out and then say they'll start telling us the list weeks later.

Anyway, I hope the Testarossa, Diablo GT, AC 427, Charger all make it into the next pack mdr1

Yea. I really don't care about the Lexus pack, but would be nice to see, just so we know that their trying to keep on track this time.

Don't see why we can't get a pack ontime that contains the AC427, Diablo GT and Murc Roadster as they been modeled for so long its not funny, so they only have to model 4 more cars and theres a pack.

Just personally, I would rather they fixed any problems and got someone to get the handling done correctly.
I dont mind having more cars to play with, as its still cool with the pad but the wheel is terrible (although better than before).

I don't care if the lexus aren't fast. All I need is a good engine sound that doesn't give me a headache in 5 minutes. I was driving with the camaro the other day, I gave up after 10 minutes because of this weird engine sound once you go kinda fast...I say "kinda" because those muscle cars could've been really better...'specially since they all have the same engine sound -_-.

I'll just check the forums until I see "DLC #4 is out!", asking infos from atari is useless anyway...

yeah it is really annoying that they made the Muscle cars so weak compared to some cars.. even the 350Z can kill them! geez.. but have you noticed how stupidly quick the American cars are? but still... i think they should make some better sounds like loud and agressive the like Ford GT that sounds pretty mean.. the CLK GTR sounds perfect! hopefully new cars will sound great

Yeah you know, when your in idle, not driving at all, the muscles have a great grownling sound, but as soon as you accelerate, not only are they burning out like hell but the sound also becomes a lot worse, lets not talk about the poor acceleration :/...This is actually what I am kind of disappointed with in this game : they made so much efforts to model every bit of interior detail in the cars, but some of them just don't have the sound they deserve. The saleen sounds as if it was just whistling for example, even though it's supposed to have 1000bhp once tuned...

yeah the cars need to be more tuneable... im pretty sure you can get more than what 300something horsepower from a atleast 5000cc V8 and the Challenger could easily reach over 1000bhp.. aswell as the Skyline.. but who knows whats in store for us in the future :noooo:

Yeah, ofcourse those cars can reach 1000hp, but so can most other cars in the game. Realistic tuning in a game would be useless as even an Audi A3 can be tuned to 1000hp...

It might be(and hopefully will be) added, I would love to have the F335 :nuts:. They have alot of Ferraris though so not sure how many more we can expect(besides the 4 confirmed), but there is still hope. :atari:

it said Ferrari 360 Modena so its the Modena lol. Since we haven't heard anything about the Lexus pack since last month, it won't be coming this month. I'll be pissed if they release it next month and try and say thats aprils DLC. Its bad enough they cover old month packs as new current ones, but going as far as releasing a 4 car pack and calling that the monthly DLC would end this DLC for me.

Edit: I'm kinda worried DLC3 was our last pack. Both mods haven't been on here for awhile, they been on the PC forum(guess that one was released with just as many problems :laugh:). Eden might also be focusing on the other versions now, they really didn't give a removed; one week ban for swearing about the 360 community after the game released(it shows) and now that they got the PS2, PC and PSP communities to deal with, I'm worried that we won't see any more DLC. I hope I'm wrong though because we've seen 3 cars that arn't released yet(AC427,Diablo GT, Murcielago Roadster) and theres also the PS2 exclusives that we could get(Spyker Spyder T, Pontiac Trans Am). I also got a list of cars that were confirmed from sites or other sources, theres about 20 additional cars all together on that. I'm just starting to get worried weirdblue

i dont think that you have to be. otherwise every1 can sue atari. They would be violating the trade descriptions act. I could say i only bought the game for the murci roadster, which is on the back of the cover. so im not worried. but i think it will take them ages because they do not seem to give any customer care. also if i get baned for encoruging people to sue atari it shows what kind of company they are(ive already been banned for speaking my mind about atari and i still pre ordered the psp version :hin: ). sour:
also to any moderators that try and stick up for atari dont bother, i think most people know this game is good but atari has no customer care even u eekblue: !

drive a manual gearbox car like the rufs and hold the handbrake and throttle, we used to be able to rev the cars fully so could get good accelerations from certain cars. and after the last update they fully destroyed the handling and the gearboxes

Its not all that bad when you think about it.
1. The government want to tax everything.
2. Road tax has gone up yet again.
3. Hybrid cars do have a tax releif cos they dont damage the enviroment.

So to put it another way it wouldnt surprise me if those muppets in downing street blame us for damaging the enviroment around the information super highway and put tax on the cars we drive online.

This is what I'm worried about. The PC had just as many problems as 360 at launch so it might be possible we ain't getting anymore. What I don't get though is the AC 427, Spyker Spyder T and Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster are all modeled on the PS2 version, so we should be able to see theses on the 360, theres 3 cars. Also I've seen pictures of the Diablo GT and Nissan 350Z Roadster all modeled, thats 5 out of 7 cars for a pack, 2 more cars shouldn't be that hard to make. Come on Eden and Atari.

good to know there are some things coming soon, would love to see some of the car sounds changed to make more real, DB9, F430, SLR, Gallardo mainly. Perhaps its a Veyron :P. Not sure if its been mentioned before, how easy would it be to add a face capture tool like in R6 Vegas, so that we could drive as ourselves, or whatever pic the player has taken?

No problem. I too would love to have the MkIII or the MkII. The bad thing is the GT40 is the only one I'm not totally sure on, because I heard from someone else that a person that went to a game convention or something and saw them modeling the GT40, so I was kind of iffy about putting it on there, but he said thier reliable, so I'm just keeping my hopes up for it. The game needs at least one classic Ford. And the GT40 goes perfectly. mdr1

we need more bikes on this game we have the licence for the kawazaki (sp?) why not get the zx6 or even the 2006 zx 10 coz the 06 zx110 is alot more sexy than the 05 one. Also what about more triumphs seen as you have the licence maybe the 600 ? cheers. p.s i would also like a evo 8 or 9 cos there amazing or even a ruf boxter s if they do 1.

The way I see it, Atari will be the big losers if they don't get new cars available for download before May. Everyone I know still playing TDU, is only sticking with it until Forza 2 is available!

think that could be the case for most people, will always come back to TDU though, because its still a game that you can come back to just to go for a drive around the island instead of being stuck to a track.

Yeah, that is very true. Everyone I've asked on TDU is getting Forza 2 so there won't be many people playing TDU after May unless they get their act together...

i thought that we would at least get some info about upcoming stuff as a lil easter gift in a way. Seeing as how a DLC is reasistically out of the question, some info as a gift would me nice. Anyways Easter period still has quite a number of hours left.
The lack of communication between atari and the fans is annoying. I have already lost faith in monthly DLC, but I'm wondering if I should lose faith in seeing any DLC at all. Doesn't even seem like they are trying to keep fans.

yeh, im not wishing to start arguements or anything of that sort, i enjoy the game and the DLC when they come, but im slightly annoyed that in the US they made the game i believe $40, because they would make money from DLC, but in Europe it was $80 then we still have to pay for DLC.

I know that they dont give dates and such incase they get moved back, but the secrecy of what we are even getting is annoying. If they tell us whats coming but leave out the dates it would be better than feeling they have left us. Wish they would embrace the fans of the game more. You could look at it in the terms of a relationship, Atari needs to put in the time and communication with us to be able to get our moment and support. So far i think they have been lucky that when they release something we still come back for it, but i think soon that patience is going to run out.

The surprises is probrolly us getting two lexus cars for free. If it is, then, I'll enjoy some other games till I got FM2, and come back when a need a intierior fix. Hopefully they will give us a car pack this month along with the free lexus, but I doubt it. We haven't even heard anything yet on the free cars let alone another pack.

i dont know if we will get one this month. i think atari will want people to it when forza 2 comes (36 days i think) out but the only way i think its possible is for them to release a good dlc. when i say good i mean something for everyone and cars we have been waiting for like the murcielago roadster and diablo gt. not a chrysler that the majority never drive. so maybe a lexus pack for free this month and next month will have nice cars.
I wouldn't enjoy the Murc too much, since its the same exact car just without a roof. There is no Lexus Pack, it is two Lexus cars that their gonna give away for free. Also, I don't think we will get a pack within this month either, even though it would be nice to get 9 cars. Hell we might not even see a pack for next month. They haven't said **** about the next pack, we haven't heard any of the cars, when we usually hear them a month or so ahead of when the pack is out. Hell they haven't even announced the Lexus cars, only way we know of them is from the slip up on the main site. Mole, can you please come back and help us out.

The problem is that when the bring out these packs theres nothing dramatically new they are often just variations of previuos cars.

I know we have had alot of cracking new ones as well like the diablo and 250 gto, but many of them seem to be a sportyer version of a car before, such as the Audi S6 the CTS-V. Both good cars just nothing new.

I feel like im not really always getting my full moneys worth as they just keep making similar cars.

We need something way out and different. Perhaps a Radical or veyron but the think im most looking forward to is the LM002! Can't wait.

To be honest i think that they need to release some info or a pack in the coming week or so, as i think the Forza 2 demo will be out mid to late week or early next week.

Atari you need to create some buzz and excitement about the next pack soon, or you are going to start loosing some people to Forza

thats why i'm keeping TDU. TDU is a good game but the way the company lacks pushes my intrest from it. I'll be on FM2 a majority of the time, but I'll pop back up here and there to test drive any new car packs that come out. :atari:

Yep, love TDU too, just too bad there's not more content coming, at least not more often. Right now I'm really bored with this game...

Forza 2 will be awesome, but, well, driving on tracks gets boring quickly too...I'll probably buy it more for all the cars and engine sounds and damage than for the races ^^

I cant wait for forza 2 but will never get rid of tdu cos its the best game to meet up with mates and take a nice steady cruise unlike other racing games were your stuck on a track.
fm2 = intense racing
tdu = the best free roam driving game EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

( maybe i will get rid of it when tdu2 comes out though )

Sort of...I make a big deal out of engine noises and well, apart from the F40 and the CLK GTR, nothing really catched my ears...I think it's time they give us a proper interesing car pack, enough with lexus and other slow mobiles! I want the diablo and the charger! tonguegre

Not really. There are minor flaws in both the cars on disk and in DLC: interior view issues, gauges and non functioning lights etc. OK maybe with the exception of the Vette convertible which seems to kill your connection.

I dont think the lexus pack was low quality...one car inparticular stands out to me as being rushed and that is the cadillac cts-v

i have to admit though... the Corvette C6 is a good looking car! i dont know what the deal with Ferrari is! they are losing looks.. the F40! stunning! F50 urrrrr bad time for Ferrari.. The Enzo.. getting better. FXX uggghhhh. and the F70 just makes me sick! dont make cars like they used to.... thats for sure.. i cant think of any Ugly lamborghini super cars i really cant! have to admit though the Zonda F is pretty hot! aswell as the Koenigsegg CCX :)

Yeah, ofcourse there are a few supercars that I wouldn't mind from the last decade, but supercars don't count. I was thinking more of normal cars. Oh, and since Corvette isn't a supercar it is, along with the other normal cars, not very pretty IMHO.

go to xbox live marketplace...when u r at your house in the game, go to TRADE, and then there will be an option to go to marketplace...u have to have microsoft pts to get some cars but there a few that are free

Well it's not a 6-series, because that's only 2 door. And it has different lines to the CLS if you compare them next to each other.

I don't doubt it's photoshopped mind you. But it's nearer the CLS than the 6 series.

He was right, its just a very clever photoshop of an M6. The wheels really give it away (and the location obviously), but the wheels haven't been touched, and the spokes are in the same position.

It won't be called the 8-series. BMW have said that even-number cars will be sports-cars. E.g. Z4, 6-series. And there's already an 8-series, an awesome coupe from way back when.

sorry i have to say but BMWs sports car have got a M before the number not because its an even number, think about the Z3 it was out before the Z4 and even they both got the M treatment, most of BMWs cars get the M treatment even number or not.

The M5 is a sports sedan. A family sedan with a big engine, firmer suspension etc.

first of all i said NOT ALL BMWs sports cars start with an even number and your telling me the Z3 isnt a sports car, the Z1, and the Z3 M coupe, (only putting the M there because thats the only model). so look at all of BMWs cars before you decide all BMWs sports car have an even number. Yes the M is 1 of the fastest, and also stands for motorsport, (incase you didnt know) hence the M treatment. But when BMW know they have got a hit they start to do others and class them as sports cars hence the M3 Evo 2, E36, CSL etc, so i say again just differently, do your research first.

I never said the Z3 isn't a sports car. If you bothered to read my post I said that BMW made this statement after the Z3.
And it is an undeniable fact that purpose-built BMW sports cars nowadays start with an even number. Other cars that are normal sedans, estates, whatever and are tuned recieve the M-badge.
