solution to this problem?

Ok here it goes:

when i start the game i have two senarios.:
1. i can view the intro movies and than watch for hours to a nice black screen. My pc is locked up and the only way out is a reboot
2. i watch the intro movies, look at a black screen for a few minutes and finaly make it to the menu. select continue game. get into the house (the movie where you see your car on the driveway) that studders alot, is very laggy. this was NOT the case before.
than i get in the house select a car of my choice and select take it for a ride or spin or whatever.
than i get a nice test drive unlimited screen with saving.
and thats it. pc locks up. only way out is a reboot.

So anyone know how to fix this?
its getting on my nerves bigtime to reboot all the time.
Was able to play the game fine until two days back when it locked up for the first time when saving.

I have AMD 3000+ 1024 ram
ati x1300le 512 mb grafix card.

I have the exakt same problem, as do many more! Have you manage to get out of your house at all? because I havn't, and I have tried over a 100 times during these 3 days it been this way.

nope i dont get out the house.

at the moment im happy when i get in the house.
usualy im stuck after the intromovies.

im sick of rebooting my pc over and over.
i know when the game launches when it isnt ok. its slow from the beginning.
it hasnt been like that at the start :(
