Have you updated any drivers or installed any software around when this happened?

no, I didn't, i also tried to exit trillian and x fire or my firewall, nothing works
btw I have the newst forceware
maybe there are any known problems with this driver

I get the same problem with my Nvidia card (6800GS)

For overclocking I use the Rivatuner-tool. This tool has an option to reload the display driver, which works like a charm for this TDU-bug... Just reload the display driver before starting the game. That's it, really.

I use the Rivatuner to set the clock speeds just a bit higher than standard, so the gameplay is smooth, but the bug is not from overclocking. I do get the same problem without overclocking and the temperatures are fine, so it can't be that...

I wouldn't be surprised if its a bug in the graphics driver, though, since I've also seen this bug in a different game. Maybe installing an older version of het graphics driver could be the solution, but reloading the graphics driver isn't that much of a hassle...

Yeah, I played around a bit with GF6800 in my other comp yesterday and got pretty much similar results after installing the latest forceware. Not sure what the older version I had is, that works, but seems to be a problem with the latest ForceWare.

i have the 6800GS but 2 in sli although i have it disabled and i found i get that problem once in awhile , alt tabbing sometimes works but if it doesnt then disable HDR ( escape > options > video > ) click apply and the screen should blink and everything should be back to normal, you can then click "no" on the dialog to keep the settings to save some time and put HDR back on

The offical line is;
There is an issue with Nvidia cards which Nvidia are aware of and we are working with them on a solution.

Thats currently all the info we have........please be patient.... :respect:

can you take an educated guess at a rough month for a working fix?>

Guesses would be just guesses and wouldn't help you much. Atari, Eden and Nvidia are working on it, we'll keep you posted.

I used to have a Nvidia Bfg7800 Gtx Oc (Factory OC'ed only)
2.80Ghz Dual Core P4
1.5Ghz DDR 2 running at 533Mhz
RealTek Hd Onboard Sound
160Gb Western Digital Caviler SE
and all the latest Drivers for my GPU

with this setup my Gpu would overheat (75-80 Degrees Celcius) in about 5 mins but only when i am playing TDU all my other games would run at about 30-45 Degrees Celcius.

I now have switched over to my ATI X1950 pro with the same system specs as above and my X1950 is running very cool (25-35 Degrees Celcius) and whatever system i run TDU on i can only get a decent frame rate when i set all in-game video options to minimum, this has made me a very bitter gamer as every other game i have played i can run at either very high or ultra high. Atari need to release a performance patch or something cause at the moment me and a lot of other people are having a real bad experience trying to play this game.

(i've only got 3 strands of hair left, i used to have a full head of hair before tyring to play this game) :gaga: :aie:

Leave your hair alone tonguegre

We know, we know (sympathetic, not condescending). Drivers or work around coming as soon as reasonably possible.

You could try changing the refresh rate in the game (if you can see the menu well enough throught the corruption!). Often when I start up on my Nvidia card the graphics are all messed up.
