The lobotomised AI traffic

Does anyone find the AI cars cause far more trouble than they should? I mean, they obviously wanted to model the way that American drivers take 'Keep right except to overtake' as a suggestion rather than a rule, but seriously, I've seen AI cars change into the left lane and then back into the right for no reason, AI cars pull out for a left turn from a stop sign where I was on the main road and had right of way, AI cars driving at low speed (or even stopped) in the fast lane... AAARGH!

Yes i know, they are rely stupid drivers and i have seen cars parked right in a highway lane.

The most annoying thing is when you come lets say on the left lane of a 2x2 lane road, there's always a trafic car that will switch to the left lane (where you are) and then go back to the right one just when you went on the right one to avoid it.

But the stupidest of all AI drivers are the police once they "chase" you...

Overall the AI in the Test Drive is bad, on single players races the oponents sometimes cant mantain on the track even in straigth lines. I hope they fix it in TDU 2 or in a patch.

I find them incedible funny. Now i've done everthing I can just drive in anything and its a great game just to play about with the AI cars. Driving at them to see what they do and such. Also try seeing how many you can take out in a crash, thats funny (I think there was comptishion on this ages ago)

Myself and baldred saw a fairly intelligent AI SUV at the start of Tantalus attempt to get by a crashed car by driving on the opposite lane but as the back of the crashed car was blocking the road it kept driving onto the grass and turned to avoid a tree but the hill was too steep and it rolled back down and got stuck. It was pretty cool to see.

Also there appears to be 3 levels of patience/intelligence.

* Sunday driver: Will wait for the issue to pass before going again
* Come on move, move, move it!!: Will wait for a minute beep their horn and drive by fast
* Screw this: Reverse back, overtake and go !!

There's also the nutter ai who fly around corners on 2 wheels holding on for dear life. Often seen on the bend just before the 180MPH downtown race :)

Park up on a one lane road, wait for some1 to overtake on wrong side and drive at same speed as them untill they hit a car going the oposite way!

Yep actually I found out some time ago that if you partially block the road, the AI car will put on it's blinker and change lane to pass you. It is pretty cool I must admit.
