on the 360 version ive heard there is delivery missions were u deliver car from A to B and depending on how much you crash it if you crash it will take money of your reward can this be done in the ps2 version cause i only see club races, cercite, speedtrap, time trial am also pretty disapointed in this game so far big let down took them so long to bring back and they kept extending there relise date and for what less stuff and much poorer graphics when i get my ps2 online and get to race with overs might like it bit more but at the mo nope

in a word... no. as i said in my pros & cons thread tho' not really a biggie - all the stuff that's been omitted to fit it onto a ps2 disc was just padding. All the important stuff is in the game & all we need now is MORE PLAYERS!!!

buy the game if you haven't already.

buy it now!

buy it!

buy it!

buy it!

OK...

if you have an old style PS2 you need to get a networlk adapter for it, if you have a slim one you don't need anything else. just unplug your ethernet cable from your pc (that's the one that joins it to your modem/router) & plug it into the back of your P2 instead. You may need to reset your router by turning it off & on again. If you don't have net access yet then you need to get that sorted 1st.

Welcome to the TDU online community (I hope) :) :) :)

there should be a thickish cable connecting your pc to your modem (possibly blue or yellow) with rectangular plugs on each end & a clip to hold it in... unplug this @ the pc end & plug it into the PS2. when it asks you to set up network settings in the game just leave everything @ auto or default & it should set up & test your connx'n. good luck bud. look for Kan_Abyss when u get here.

right...

the ethernet cable that comes out of your modem & into your pc...

disconnect the pc end & leave the other end in the modem/router, then connect the free end to your ps2 so you have a direct connection from ps2 to modem/router and no connection to your pc. (unless the router has more than one ethernet port - in which case you can connect both pc & ps2 separately into the router (not via each other)

then when you run TDU & try to connect it will say 'no network file found' or something similar & ask you if you want to set one up. say yes, follow instructions & use all defaults & you should be away.

when you've made the connection between ps2 & modem try turning your modem off (or unplugging it) for 10 seconds to reset it. I have to do this every time I switch over with my NTL cable modem as it only has one ethernet port. If I try without the reset my ps2 thinks the ethernet cable is unplugged still.

Are you in the UK dude?

Which ISP do you use?

Is your pc connected to your router by ethernet (chunky plug) or USB (flat plug)?

DrKanAbyss

OK - you need to buy an ethernet cable (or dig out the one that came with the modem - it's about as thick as an electrical cable & hass identical square plugs on either end), the ethernet port on the back of the ps2 is a square(ish) socket as opposed to the thin flat USB on the front & there is also an identical socket on the back of the modem (should be unused if your using USB for your pc)

c the modem the wee bit that plugs in from phone to it is smaller then the 1 on the hole for ps2 i brought a cable the day fits in the back of the ps2 and then goes on into back of the computer so i got that there sorted

the cable that fits between the back of ps2 & the pc...

leave it in the ps2 but see if you can plug the pc end straight into the modem instead of the pc - there should be a port for it (on the back of the modem)alongside the USB port that connects to the USB on your pc. it may say ENET under it (my NTL one does)

id is o_p_neil@hotmail.com. although from what you've just said i don't think you can do it with that modem. at least not a direct connection like i have. It can be done through the pc but as I've never had to do that I can't help I'm afraid. what happens when you ethernet the ps2 to the pc? do you get a message on the pc asking about the new connection?
