What do you all think is the best car for a given situation?

For example, so far my best car for long high speed races is the Saleen S7.

I like the Noble M12 for shorter races with bendier courses.

The speed trap trials I'm not sure about. My Saleen comfortably goes 230mph but I've seen a world record at 257mph (i think). What car does that?

i love my XJ220. only A class i got so far. fully tuned. can chuck it around in the mountains & hit the gas to pull out of any corner o can keep up w everything i've come acrosss so far (until i crash it @ least) & then use slipstream to slingshot past. love the lipstream effect on this game!

Yeah, the XJ220 was the first good car I owned. (started with a Mustang). It is fast and handles great but at the top end, it just doesn't go as quick as the Saleen. Once you get used to teh handling of the Saleen it shits on the Jag. Still though, there are definitely better than both of these cars. I am gonna try to get a Mclaren later and test that out.

My Chrysler ME FOUR-TWELVE does 273 mph. I've got it up to about 260 something until I smashed into a car :p.

my koenisegg does about 270mph i got it too 267 and i crashed lol but seriously i havent found a car thats good all round yet i mean the koenisegg is fast but its **** at breaking. Whats the Crysler like dom

ive got a few cars including the mclaren F1 lm with a stage 3 upgrade it has a stated top speed of 247mph i think but the acceleration and braking is immense, i also have a lotus exige which is better for short twisty runs.
but the best sounding cars on the game has to be the lambos

well my favorit is the jag xj220 because its just beautiful but that's my opinion and its a great way to start beceuse they are way to cheap.
but i will still drive with the jag even if i had the money for something else

I just got the Chrysler last night. It is my new favourite mdr1 If only it was a little bit easier to drive! I still like the Saleen though so I am using that for races that are not too hard. The Chrysler is the one that seems to be setting a lot of the records.

i disagree every time i drive against a faster car 99 of 100 times they dont even make the first corner because they race right pased it.

I think if the lambo was rear wheel drive and accelerated a bit faster it would be the best car in the game. Im not liking the koenisegg now. I just done that 64mile race last 0.5m i crashed and came 3rd!!!. Got 2mill credits and i dunno how to sell a car lol

My Fastest car (Top end) is McLaren F1 GTR (stage 3 upgrade), does 164mph and handles quite well.
My fastest car around bends is probably my Enzo (stage 3 upgrade)
Fastest accelerator Saleen S7 (stage 3 upgrade) 0-60 2.7s.

yeah the enzo is good if u have a pc or xbox but on ps2 we dont get ferrari due to lisencing. I might buy the saleen.

i,ve got a chrysler me four twelve thats top speed is 273mph but i got it to 270mph then smashed into a car going the wrong way down the road, i got my zonda to 260mph and my koenigsegg to 265mph

I got my koenisegg up to about 262mph before wrapping it around a lamp post.. its a devil to control... at the moment I'm in love with my Lambo Gallardo.. only does 211 but far better to control.. also just purchased a Saleen (as I've heard so much about it) and got the Shelby Daytona.. testing those out next.

Best Car? Well, albeit it not being the fastest car, i do love the Lambo Murcielargo. Handles superbly (if you upgrade it to level 3 even more so) and makes the best noise of any of the cars i've driven so far.

Well Guys I guess it all depends on how you drive. I found in some clubs the Ford GT with level 3 upgrade will do the job, the Koennigwotever is better in other clubs whilst the Mclaren F1 is handy in yet other clubs. The Saleen is good on long runs because of the handling and braking and speed. So buy all 4, upgrade them (after all the upgrades are free if you've done the clubs) and enjoy the diiference...

I like driving the Koenigsegg most, but it is at it's best at long straights. I often use the Enzo as I think it's a lot easier to get good times with. For really tight corners I use the Murciélago, my second favorite car.
For speed trap trials I use the Saleen for it's combined top speed of 401 km/h and great accelleration, but I can't drive it in normal races as it starts to feel like it's floating in corners and I usually can't hold it.

The car with the highest topspeed is the McLaren F1 with 425 km/h, second is Koenigsegg with 424 km/h third and third Saleen with 401 km/h.
If you add up the numbers for Accelleration, speed, handling and braking, the Enzo wins with 363 points followed by the Saleen with 347. Koenigsegg comes third with 342 points.
There are a few A-class cars that I don't have, but I don't think they would get a higher score or top speed. All cars are fully upgraded.

i got my fully tuned Koenigsegg to 274mph :)
top speed says 270mph was pretty chuffed getting it over its top speed

and have found that i have to break alot earlyer before coming to a corner and if you floor it coming out a corner it tends to spin about. But good car would expect a lot more for the money paid nearly $800 000 and the best package at the upgrade store but got that for free so god knows how much that could have cost.

this game tends towards sim rather than arcade (although nowhere near GT4 so no flame please - i'm just trying to make a point here...) & if you're driving a car that accelerates & drives that fast in real life of course you have to brake earlier, & if you floor it coming out of a corner of course it will spin out. any RWD car w a decent BHP & high power to weight will handle like sh*t if you drive it like sh*t. take your time with it (not easy with no analogue accelerator, i know). it'll handle well if you handle it well.

If you want to test your car's top speed without crashing... do the Top Dart race it's a speedtrap race in Master Level. My Koenigsegg CCR went 279 MPH my Chrysler ME-412 went 282 MPH the Top Dart is somewhere in the middle of the map
