232 million ???????

Anyone have a clue how the people with the top points got their points. 232 million points in one night the second place has 100 million. Ive been playing since friday and im only at 3 million.

I was thinking that, I'm at 4 million and 99% complete. Only the online multi races not done. I own every house and every car at level 3 upgrade and there is now way those people could have got those points legitimately.

Another thing was the online time, I was online all day and the guy at the top's time was increasing twice as quick as mine. I would be five hours behind for example and then , without going offline, look again a couple of hours later and he'd be 10 ahead. There is definitely something fishy going on. The top speed as well at over 800 mph, I don't believe can be legit.

What does everyone else think?

I reckon the time thing's easily explained - the ps2's just been left on whether he's playing or not.

points - if u look @ the high drift table there're people doing 3 mile drifts - that's gotta rack up a few bonus points, no? (just a guess)

It has to be a glitch or cheating. It is impossible to reach 232 million in one night. Im third in time played and top 10 in miles driven and im only at 3.5 million.

I agree its impossible. Theres a guy with over 2,000,000,000 points today that was nowhere near the top yesterday. They are definitely doing something wrong, i don't think you could get 2 billion overnight even if you were the drift master.

And the time thing, the guy at the top has gone up more than 24 hours in less than a day, even if he left his machine on, he must be in some time warp.

I was looking on another forum and saw that there is some kind of hardware for the ps2 where you can enter a code to cheat at games and someone on that forum has released codes that can multiply the master points etc and i wouldn't be surprised if the 800mph top speed was a result of this cheat hardware.

I don't know whether the programmers of the game include these codes for people to find or whether the cheaters are breaking the EULA by hacking into the game somehow but either way, I think it's not on and that atari should remove people like that from the game. :nono:

I would be alot more proud if i have a record that i ACCOMPLISHED by myself..

Though i think its good cheats excist...BUT should only be for offline...
I've got too many games and too little time to play every game through to get want i want..............so cheats need to excist tonguegre

I've had enough. I'm trading in the game tomorrow. This really sucks. My stats have still not updated and atari won't remove the cheats from the game, so its just not much fun anymore. To those that haven't yet bought it, don't. There are too many problems and you can finish the game in a few days. The online is all messed up and there are hardly any cars. Back to pro evo for me.

It's possible to attain 300 MPH by drafting online (read one of forums in gamefaqs.com... title:Post Your Top Speed by R8CCXVeyron (me) ) but 800 MPH is ridiculous
