Hi guys,
First post here :) - have had the game since monday, and enjoying it immensely :D
Onto business.
I don't have a wheel at the moment :noooo: But definately wanna get one. And as with everyone else, have had my eye on the G25 - looks like an awesome piece of kit.
However, here in surf africa the G25 goes for like 3 grand (zar) and the momo one (forget it's name) I can get for about 800 ZAR.
So basically my question is this - how sensitive is the clutch? Obviously i would like to have one, but if i can't slip the clutch then i don't see the point, and would rather get the cheaper wheel (Which was up until the G25 the logitech flagship wheel AFAIK)
Sorry if this has been asked before, but access to this site is dog slow. So searching is a real pain the behind.
Thanks guys,
Krippel6 mdr1

The clutch is as sensitive as you set it to be. Pedals in general are very well done, with brake pedal being the hardest to push, then clutch, then gas.
You won't do a mistake if you decide to buy this wheel, it's the best I've had so far (and I've had a few)

The g25 is awesome wheel and it's worth every zer you going to invest.
Driving cars with h shifter without any driving game is so much fun i can't even describe. the best thing in tdu is if you drive f430 g25 is automatically shifted to shifting paddles and you can't use h-shifter, but as soon as you return in cars that have h shifter you can start using h-shifter and forget about shifting paddles.
Anyway, you are going to have great fun both with tdu an g25.

another question then - if you guys don't mind.
Can you stall the car by letting the clutch out wrong?
And also - looks like the common opinion on the Thrustmaster is that it's not anywhere as nice as the G25. So it looks like i'll have to get one then, only problem is i can only get it end of April :(
so gonna have to hack it with my crappy keyboard until then
Is the G25 PS3 compatible?? If it is then would be worth buying.
Seriously would not spend £180 to use for this game though.
yes, you can stall car, but you can't start it with clutch if you are going downhill in neutral.
I use g25 for all my racing games (gtr2,rfactor,...) and i love it mucho :-)

Fantastic! so it's pretty realistic then... I think i'm sold
If (more like when) I get this wheel i'll get GTR2 as well - i tried the first one with keyboard but that REALLY sucked. you HAVE to have a wheel for that game. So i'm sure GTR2 is the same. Plus we have some local servers to race on :)
I doubt crappier games like NFS (forgive me, but those are arcade games, specially carbon) will see much gain from summing like a G25, but being a big sim fan, i scheme this wheel will rock in many a proper game over years to come :D

It's worth buying if you want h shifter, clutch, brake and gas paddle, and 900 deg. steering wheel. I hope it will be compatible with ps3

in gtr2 or rfactor you can start car by gaining some speed on downhill and putting in 1st, or 2nd gear and start the car. to bad that they didn't implement this in tdu, because lots of time you will stall the car, especially if you use hand break.

I actually went out and spent £165 and bought a G25 specifically because i had heard that TDU was 'optimised' for the G25, turns out that its the cause of all my screen lag and making this game unplayable  (have to play it on PS2 pad with USB converter, absoloutly rubish, but the game does run perfectly)
But as a wheel it is awesome, GTR2 blows everything out of the water, im totally addicted, with this wheel i cannot recommend this more highly, Live For Speed is also a real good driving experiance with this wheel.
Also more arcadey games like NFS: Carbon and TOCA Race Driver 3 are improved dramatically. Its a fantastic wheel, and driving sim lover should own one.
