I have another problem. Thought it would be a laugh today to get a Koinegsegg CCR and kit it up to stage 3. Dont do it!!! the bridges don't stream fast enough at 250mph and you just fall off of the edge into the sea. The scenery on normal roads is also destroyed as is the map in the bottm left. All traffic also stops. I have now traded it in for an aston martin vanquish v12 and love it.

LOL! I have the same problem with: McLaren F1, Chrysler ME Four Twelve and Saleen S7 Twin Turbo, but it's not a bug, it's just a problem of loading times when driving very fast cars (usually higher rank-A cars). The PSP cannot load the scenery fast enough when you're going at +400km/h, so that's the problem. If you slow down a bit (or just release the accelerator for a second) it usually gives just enough time for the PSP to load the scenery. You could call it a hardware problem (since this demonstrates the UMD unit is too slow for this game), but I forgive it.
If you have any of the two GTA's available for the PSP, you will notice that it happens exactly the same when you are "flying low" with fast cars: i.e.: sometimes streets don't load fast enough and you seem to be running in streets with less resolution or even without surface.
In TDU for PSP, you begin to notice the problem when in front of you, instead of scenery, you begin to see the water of the sea. In many cases, the road loads just in time to get you passing on it, but I once had THE problem: the PSP didn't have time to load the road, nor map, nor anything, so it suddenly stopped and I saw my car in the middle of the sea water and I heard the UMD unit reading the disc. In two-three seconds, the scenery was loaded and the car was repositioned in the road as when you fall into the sea.
Fortunately, this last thing I've mentioned has happened only once in the more than 21 hours of game I've had, so as I said, IMO it's forgivable bearing in mind that the game loads information from laser discs and not from RAM/ROM chips. Anyway, enjoy the game, which I believe is a piece of art in which I forgive the glitches it has (hey, it hasn't frozen in all the time I've played! And there's a long list of PSP games that freeze sometimes when playing...)
Enjoy!
