this is done with homebrew and its been asked before and with out going againt sony's and melbourne house's wishs you cant sorry

ite then no worrys just woulda been cool to have a custom playlist of driving songs, il jus have to mute my psp n listen to my ipod lol

On a related note - anyone know how to turn the radio OFF?

I have no need of music when I am driving (in real life or TDU). I also suspect this may improve battery life as the UMD access would be reduced (a bit).

I don't want to just mute the volume.

yes ive tried that too but eventually i went to options and then audio ond turned music vol right down so you cant hear it anymore but is there an optin to turn it off because then i wouldnt have to go to options to turn it back on again
