Hi
I have a sound problem. It's simple: It does not sound. Sometimes, after restarting the game, sound works properly, but most of time, is off. It's the only game from many I play this problem occuros, so, I dont understand why.
I have this system:
- Pentium E6600
- nVidia 7900GTX
- Soundblaster ZS Audigy
- Motherboad Asus Striker Extreme
- 2GB Ram Kingston DDR400
- Windows XP Sp2
Any help?
Sound and video are a constant problem for many players. I sometimes have to quit and re-start TDU two or three times to get sound working, but once it's on, it's OK.
Hopefully the upcoming patch will address both sound and video issues

When the sound disappears just press Pause(P) and it will come back

It may be interesting to not have sound when playing : while the feeling of immersion is gone away, you might be able to drive more technically, then ... faster.
... but that's soooo boring
:)
I've been having the weirdest problem with my 5.1 setup. Randomly during the game, both my front speakers, as well as my centre speaker, fail, but both my rear speakers continue to function.
The only way to fix the problem is to either restart the game or, here's the weird part, cycle through the different views of the car until I get back to the cockpit view. After that all of the speakers work again.
Another time it happened I lost both rear speakers and the centre speaker, but both the fronts worked. Once again I cycled through the views until I got back to cockpit and then they started working again!
I think it's because the cockpit uses different sounds, i.e. more muted engine engine and clearer bassier radio.
When the sound disappears just press Pause(P) and it will come back
Not for me. If I start a game with corrupt video (just about every time) then alt-tab back to windoze, wait a bit, then alt-tab back to TDU usually fixes it. Nothing but a game restart fixes the sound if it's not working on game start.
I have a Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty sound card, I suspect it's not as well supported as other more mainstream cards are.

Also using the same card and other than the dropout issue Jambo describes thats the only issue I have with the sound disappearing and going into the Pause Menu brings it right back.
I cant give you any advice in relation to the video corruption as I dont have that issue so I have no connection to it(I will assume you are using an Nvidia card, I am using an ATI)
