Hi folks..
My flatmate and I both own TDU and both play online.. problem is that the online functionality is so flaky. If one of us goes to the map screen, suddenly loads of other players appear in the game.. sometimes I can see other folks, when my flatmate can see no one and we often struggle to find each other to do some racing - takes a lot of trial and error, waiting around in the same spot, going to and from the map screen.. when we DO finally find each other, the connection is normally good with no real lag issues, but we cannot change cars or go to the map screen (even when we're locked and isolated to a session) - if either of us goes into the map its a good 5 minutes and the usual procedure trying to find each other again.
In short we reckon this is down to us sharing a connection that utilises one IP address and that Gamespy or TDU can't comprehend two connections to the same game from one IP.
Out of sheer frudstration and a desire to enjoy this game to its maximum potential we're in the process of changing broadband providers to someone who will allow us multiple "real world" IP addresses.. we hope this will cure the problem!
But does anyone else out there have the same situation as us, and know of a cure?
Thanks in advance!
