I have always loved the 360 (even though it suppose to be twitchy :rolleyes: ) I loved it since I had a go of it in Forza :)

Im disapointed too I love BMW always have and more than likley always will and I was really looking forward to driving a M6 with its 502BHP :nuts:

As for EA owning the rights how has/do sony and Polyphony digital keep putting them in the Grand Turismo series?

Also there in Forza and thats a MicroSoft game.

Plus don't you think when it comes to the amount of cars we have in TDU were lagging way behind?

Forza has 233 cars in it!

Forza 2 has more than 300!!

Grand Turismo 4 has more than 700!!!!


We get around 125 which isn't many when looking at the other games is it!??!

Even the first Forza has over 100 more than we have!

One idea would be to put a load of new races and added content plus a shed load of cars and have it sold on Direct to Drive plus sell it on CD in the shops just like Bethesda did with Knights of the Nine + added content :)

I'ed love to see a Renault Alpine, Citroen SM or a Venturi. Great cars by most accounts and would be a tribute to the developers. After all there are no actual French cars in the game.

Or how about the Skoda Tudor, ok it was just a prototype coupe based on the Octavia but it was quite a cool looking machine, and if based on the VRS Octavia would be able to show up quite a few of the so called sports cars out there.

Would of course love to see a Bristol, but I doubt that will ever happen. Shame really, damn fine cars despite there antiquated styling. Or how about a Morgan, oooh that would be fun!

How about the Mosler MT900 Photon? It weighs only 1,980lbs (900kg), but has a Gen III SBC from the previous Corvette Z06 making 435 horsepower. Warren Mosler said he thought it was faster around a racetrack than any US-street-legal car except an Enzo, but it might need a super charger to beat the Enzo. Well, he sold a supercharged car to a customer a few months ago!

The MT900R was banned from racing in every US series except ALMS due to its overwhelming dominance (Mosler still hasn’t sold enough cars to meet ALMS homologation requirements.), but it has been very successful in Europe. The MT900R has wins in FIA GT Class G2, British GT, Spanish GT, Euro GT, Belcar and Britcar classes. In fact, a MT900R recently lapped the entire GT3 field at Donnington.

I think it looks fine, except for the gap in the wheel wells. The body was designed for 19-inch wheels, but the manufacturer wasn’t able to produce the wheels in time, so Mosler developed the car with 18-inch wheels.

Actually, Mosler teamed up with Brent Trenne to design the MT900 body. Previous Moslers, like the Consulier and the Raptor, were very fast, but their looks kept them from becoming very popular.

Yeh it would be heaps of fun... I cant see what the Carver company would turn a license agreement down.. Would be unrivaled publicity for the Carver One. It's a bit quirky, and some would argue it isn't for TDU. It isn't an exotic.. but it's very unique, and it passes the test for me.

The car I'd really like to see would be the F355 Challenge, mainly because of my love for the ultimate racing sim, F355 Challenge (arcade, dreamcast and PS2). If Eden could do a job just as good as Yu Suzuki (I doubt it) I'd be really grateful.

Another one I'd love to see would be the Lamborghini Diablo, mainly because of my passion for that car created by Need For Speed 3. Preferably the SV version of course.

The F430 is not an updated 360. the F430 is a completely new car from the ground up and shares no parts with the 360. Yes the 430 replaces the 360 but they are worlds apart in performance and design so to say the 430 is simply an updated 360 is inaccurate.

There aren't any car packs yet, the patch is coming out in mid-June with Nissan Skyline, and Audi RS4. Hopefully there will be some more after. :)

Look at the Lamborghini Gallardo and Audi R8 or Corvette C6 and Cadillac XLR. In (the late) DaimlerChrysler’s case, they can target family buyers with the 300C and enthusiasts with more sports-oriented Charger.

The chassis is considerably different from the E-class, however. The "LX" chassis was updated to create a mid-market “global architecture” for multiple models in multiple markets, just like all of the automakers are doing now.

need i say any more?Same chassis, same suspension design, same gearbox – check. Yup, the chassis-sharing comparison is a valid one.

I can make a much stronger case for Chrysler needing a Charger in addition to the 300C than I can for Audi needing an R8 in addition to the Gallardo.

By the way, GM doesn’t use the supercharged Northstar in racing. Right now, Cadillac is only running the CTS-V in the Speed World Challenge series. The car uses a small-block LS6 engine. The “Northstar” engine Cadillac built for their Dallara LMP1 prototype after the British company failed to build a competitive engine after years of trying was purpose-built and had little in common with the production Northstar.

With 150 fewer horsepower, an under-developed suspension, and the aerodynamics of a brick wall, I don’t see the Tomahawk getting above 180MPH (290KPH).

As for the Y2K, how would the game handle “turbine lag” if it can’t even do turbo lag? With the turbine, when you take your hand off the throttle, it takes several seconds to respond! BTW, the Y2K has been taken up to 227MPH (365KPH)!

completely agree with those suggestions, especially the c112. two brilliant performing supercars. how bout the clk gtr road goer. also the f-300 lifejet, that'd be heeps of fun.. bending round the corners!

There is a CLK-GTR in the cars when you are in trade mode, so it is probably the road version, we just have to see if it will get released or if it was a wasted licence, as it seems the LM002 has been also :mefiant:

Trans-Am was just an RPO package for the Firebird. GM paid the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA, the sanctioning body for Trans-Am Racing) $5 per car to license the name.

Still, I wouldn’t mind a second generation Firebird with a good representation of the Super-Duty 455 engine. The engine was derived from Pontiac’s 540HP NASCAR engine, and made 370+ horsepower. But, GM rated the engine at 290HP for liability. What really made the engine desirable was how it could be easily returned to produce 500+ horsepower with the emissions modifications removed.

And yes, KITT was a Trans-Am.

Thanks to Eletronic Arts we, most likely, will never see BMW's and Porsches in the game as EA holds the rights on these famous cars. Eden/Atari used a workaround on Porsches though, they put the RUF dealer. I came to learn that RUF are modified Porsches and hopefully they will do the same with the BMW's.

I like them both car dealers too, looking forward to it. :respect:

I don't want to see the Delorean, because frankly, it is slow. My friend owns a mint one with DMC Houston's Stage 2 motor upgrade (ported heads, cams, exhaust), and it still only makes 200hp (stock is 130). My V8 S10 is way faster.

And of course all of the mandatory BMW's, Porsche's, Honda's, Mitsubishi's, Subaru's, Lambo's, and Ferrari's plus countless others that are required to make a racing game, but are missing from TDU! Especially the Ferrari F-50. So many games ignore it, and that's just lame.

It's a long shot, but if they were to add the off road vehicles with some special races for them out in the wilderness, that'd be pretty awesome. But I doubt anything like that will come freely, could be expansion pack material, though.

That is correct.

Holden Monaro (Australia/New Zealand), Vauxhall Monaro (Europe) & Pontiac GTO (US) are all the same vehicle (LS1 Gen III V8) with some minor frontal/badging differences.

I`ve just seen some modified Ford cars with the Holden logo on the side so i thought it was something like Nismo, Calsonic, Opera, Motul, Mügen, Acura, Shelby, RUF, Sauber, Minolta etc... I also see that many of the same cars Holden makes are also in Falcon versions. Performence are identical but the logo is changed^^.

Its like stupid Sony which has the rights on every single official Formula 1 game but only publishes them for the Playstation so us pc users stuck at Grand Prix 4..

The Brava HGT 1.8 16V was one of the best cars I ever had. It's just a regular car, but I've beat many rich kids with their Audi A3 1.8 and 1.8T (the 150bhp version, not the 180bhp) with my slightly tunned Brava.

Those of you doubting this, do some research. This motorcycle is a Dodge concept sporting the 8.0+ (Not sure if it is the 8.0 or bigger)L V10 Viper engine. I believe they let 15 go as display models, supposedly inoperable but rumored to be very easily returned to roadworthy.

The carbon-fiber chassis only weighs 70lbs (31.75kg)! The 3.5L engine is derived from a proposed Indy Car engine and makes 575 horsepower at 10,200RPM! Eric Buell is a motorcycle racer who left Harley-Davidson to found his own sportbike company. It's probably asking a bit much, but since a large chunk of the map is off road and there are little off road trails a good old Land Rover Defender or variations of it like the Bowler Wildcat and also Rally cars designed to perform off road. But it would probably be a big ask to make things that handle well off road and also might need an entirely new class of car.

It's got the tilting (canopy) like a cornering bike (TDU's got bikes) and the rearend of a car (TDU's got cars)...

But even if the engine couldn't handle it, there's another option...

The T-REX!

Same concept as the Carver except there's no tilting canopy... And the single wheel is at the back... And it's not fully enclosed... And it doesn't look all that cool (to me). :nuts:

Yet I have that feeling that we need to see some Porsches (Boxster and Carrera GT would be nice please Atari), and also the new Ascari A10 (we already have the KZ1). Also, Lamborghini Murcielago ROADSTER!!! And maybe the Koenigsegg CCX. Oh, and the Audi R8.

Also, from what I have heard about the Carvers, it seems they all have stability problems, so their cornering speed is computer-limited, taking all of the fun out of them. Anyway, if you want to ride a bike, ride one. If you want to lean while driving a car, cut the bolsters off of your driver's seat and you can do it without over paying for a self-tilting slowmobile!

Not all of these ideas are about cars but its easier to put them all in one post:

Every car that is computer controlled has the same regestration plate 'TDU 555', i think it would add the the realism if all the plates were different.

As the game is based on a tropical island, why is there not tropical weather, there only seems to be sunny and cloudy weather, id like to see a few storms and rain aswel.

And with the cars that have no roof, they are not convertable, but they would be good as convertables so you just pull over and press a button and the roof comes on.

Also on the rare occasions when i stop at the traffic lights and im in the drivers seat, i cant see the traffic lights so i dont know when they change, so they would be good if they were put on the other side of the road or lowed so they could be easily seen.

I know a few people wount like this idea but it would be alot better if there was no teleport option on the map, so if you wanted to get somewhere - you drive there.

And finally, have day and night and if you dont have your headlights on you cant see where your going so it is almost complete darkness, but have the time of day based on where the server host is based, so the day and night will be 24 hours.

Please tell me what you think about the ideas and if you would like to see them aswel.

you don't always have to give your self the option to teleport
somewhere ..you can always drive to your destination and
set it als a target with your Gps ..its already there.

But that in real-time changing of the weather s a good one.

thx, but i know you dont have to teleport everywhere but i think it would be better if you didnt have the option to, because from the far left of the map to the far right is only about 46 miles and most of that a car will be doing at least 150mph so it wount take long to drive there

there will be DLC packs for the PC in the forseable future. The reason why XBOX 360 version has more cars atm is that it was released 3\4 months before the PC\PS2\PSP versions meaning they've had more time to make the DLC packs. Patience is a virtue :)

thx, but i know you dont have to teleport everywhere but i think it would be better if you didnt have the option to, because from the far left of the map to the far right is only about 46 miles and most of that a car will be doing at least 150mph so it wount take long to drive there

For example, the last generation Monaro was given more power, fatter tires, revised exhaust, etc. to help it better compete in the American market as the GTO. IIRC, the current American GTO has LS2 heads, while the Australian Monaro has less expensive L98 heads.

But, generally speaking, GM likes to cover platform development costs by selling cars based on the same platform globally under whatever brand is most popular in that region.

I know that it has already been mentoned, but I think that the old Holden/Vauxhall Monaro would go down a storm. And before people start saying 'The Pontiac GTO is a Holden Monaro,' while that may be true, the actual Monaro was a lot quicker. Indeed, the Vauxhall Monaro VXR had a 6-litre Corvette V8, and could go to 180 MPH! While the puny GTO is limited to 155.
