Can you imagine, the Vipers came in 1st and 3rd OVERALL!!!! And the C5R Vette came in 2nd OVERALL. And there were about 21 Sports Racers (Dyson, Ferrari, Caddie, etc) that should, as usual, have been way ahead. And what is amazing is that each class has a cost limit to building the cars, and GTO (the Viper's class) was a couple hundred THOUSAND less than the SR class - simply amazing.

Could this be a sign of the future? What will happen at Sebring and later, LeMans????

Sorry for your hopes but for Le Mans, I think that cars like Audi will not crash so easy than cars in Daytona... The Le Mans track is so specific that never another race can announce what will happen at Le Mans.
For a Viper win, I think we must wait for Chrysler to go in GT1 or Proto class.

Oreca Viper with two french drivers !! Great ! Olivier Beretta is an extraordinary GT driver. But I don't think it will be the same at Le Mans. First, there were no Audi at Daytona. And if you see the previous years, you will see that it was that Riley/Scott, Ferrari 333, Nissan never won Le Mans after their great Daytona . The Cadillac were too young despite a good performance. But anyway Oreca Viper have done it well. Thumbs up.

Hey, you guys keep talking about the Audi - what about the BMW LMR's??? Though not officially a FACTORY team, Schnitzer is still going to be running them, and that is who was the "FACTORY" team at LeMans in 99 anyway http://www.infogrames.fr/ubb/smile.gif

And I wonder if the flying ships, Oooops I mean Mercedes will be there for 2000? And will Toyota be back to buy the win (they had more $$$ in LeMans than many teams put together!!!), or as usual, will they just BUY LeMans and allow only THEIR car to compete??? http://www.infogrames.fr/ubb/smile.gif

And gee, why wasn't the MB in this LeMans game? It would have been FUN to drive it, and fly through the air! http://www.infogrames.fr/ubb/smile.gif

I don't think the Messer Schmidt will be at Le Mans this year. I heard that Le Mans airport will be closed on june and Mercedes can't land on ... http://www.infogrames.fr/ubb/smile.gif
For Toyota, I'm quite sure they won't go officially but with a private team, why not !
Like you, I'm sad to not be able driving Mercedes or Porsche GT1-98... Because of licenses given by constructors, many games lose their interests... welcome in money world... bye-bye pleasure ...
