noticed time-problem

Whenever I'm racing a game Le Mans 24 Hours or Championhip i noticed that you can view how much your behind but not how much your up front.

Why cant I see that? It's quite irritating after a view hours driving when you don't know if your 1 minute or 10 sec. up front.

Further it's a great game.
