Ok, this is not going to be rant about the patch, alhtough I really do not understand Eden or Atari and their supposed testing methods

Now, I have played TDU for 4 months, and basically the patch has dont nothing for me, infact I have gave up playing the game and I am slightly miffed that I had been technically robbed by frausters.

Now, mean time I was able to play on the beta test of Quake Wars being one of the lucky beta testers, I did find a thing wrong, this was reported via the forums, as the beta test went to 60.000 players and each one has reported back with their own findings and a patch has been realeased within 4 weeks or so correcting the issues. This is a beta test dont forget, and the game is being release in August. Their forums are also help with information from the mods being more accurate then a GPS system.

Then I thought well I can only play a map for so long and after a couple of weeks of beta testing, I went on and gave my life to EVE-Online Im amazed at how different a real Massive multiplayer game is, no real lag issues, no disconcerning problems and again, a patch has been released coenciding with normal people who have reported back the littlest problem.

Now, what have we got here. A game that works for some and not others, no technical support, moderators who can only give information when they are given it allbeit the info is not the greatest, and for the job they are doing it's a unfair to them to be mushroomed and unfair to us. This game has so much potential, and it makes me angry that the main companies involved are not bothered in good customer service and only interested in trying to stem the flow of cash out of their bank accounts buy rushing out titles. I have never known beta titles to be released unless you name is bill gates and you can do what you want, Atari will loose more fans and their games will only be pointed towards consols where they dont have to implicate coding for every potential piece of equiptment that can exist in a PC.

Its a real shame that some big name companies do not value the people who make their profits.

P.s sorry about the spelling and grammer.

Well the game has always worked for me, so I'm not really mad at atari I guess.

I do agree though that the lack of info is depressing. Not only for the patch and not only for the PC version, but in general. Downloadable content is a good example for this : no one knows what we'll get and when. Not even an approximative date. 2 cars in 6 months...meh -_-

Like you say, this game has a huge potential. I guess we must consider TDU as a beta for TDU 2 :p
