Sometimes my gears don't work

Hi,

I bought TDU last week.
Since the beginning my car (Audi A3) had troubles with the gearbox.
i couldn't drive because he wasn't going into 1gear.
he just wasn't reacting.
Downloaded the patch, nothing changed.
After a few days it suddenly worked rolleyesa

well, until now...
i bought myself a Corvette and i have the same problem, my gears won't work?!
also when i do a vehicle transport, i can't drive the cars because of the gears...

if i swith gear up to another button, it doesn't work either. madred:

anyone who can help?

Which shift & clutch mode are you using?

FYI, the possible combination is:

auto trans (no clutch)
manual trans w/ auto clutch
manual trans w/ manual clutch

Does it shift in auto trans? That would be the first place to start to see if it shifts at all. Then try man trans/auto clutch, then man trans/man clutch.

BTW, maybe stupid question, but do you know how to drive a real car? More specifically, how to opperate a manual gearbox & clutch in a real car? I have to ask because some kids don't know the fundamentals, like the fact that car will stall if the engine is not rev'ed when releasing the clutch.

i'm using manual trans w/ manual clutch.
And yes, i know how to drive a real car, i have my license a few years :)

i will try the auto trans right now.

i really don't get it.
my gears work again, but when i hit "M" to open my map, the game shut down :rolleyes:

are you using direct gear access? i had it set up with a actlabs shifter, which works ok with stick gears, but for the paddle-shift cars eg the lambos and (modern) ferraris, i have to also use the paddle shift ie NOT the shifter. (which is good in a way because its true to the actual car)

my gears work now, no problems with that.
but when i want to open my wordmap, my game crashes to desktop...
