Anyone else have trouble with this time trial? Between all the air time and traffic I cant seem to get anywhere near gold on this one. What am I missing?

Go slow on the bumps, don't rush it.

Pick a good car (Alfa GT, GTO, Skyline)....let off the gas on the jumps...stay to the sides of the road whenever possible to avoid traffic

hmm, if I remember correctly when I did this time trial I just gunned it and hoped for the best.. The cars aren't really quick enough to do anything really unusual imo.

I couldn't do it either, then a few days ago tried it with the Skyline (great handling and good top-speed) and I could do it on first try. And even had plenty of time left.
Maybe some extra driving-experience did it for me? I also did several other chalenges with the Skyline first. I'm sure it helps if you are using a car you know well, so you don't loose it over the jumps.

I hate this challenge, it's one of the first ones I tried and I still haven't done it! The traffic just bugs the hell out of me, it's constantly in the way which wrecks not only your time but your driving meter too (I forget if this challenge has one, I think it does!).
Gives me road rage!!!

AFAIR this race has not drive meter.
With keyboard control I made this challenge without any troubles, but with wheel it was a real pain for me.
But in S3 Skyline I've been able to made it gold. Even beating traffic and going offroad.

I am using my Nissan 350Z NISMO fully tuned. What is a Skyline? Do you mean the Saturn Sky?

The FAQ of cars I have been using doesn't list that car in class E or F. I will have to sign in and hit the Nissan show room...

After the patch, you get 2 new cars - An Audi RS4, and a Nissan Skyline. You can get them from the Audi & Nissan dealers, respectively

I was having trouble with the Skyline fishtailing when landing from a jump, so I lowered the steering sensitivity. Not only did that help controlling the car when landing, but when I launched the event the next time, there was no traffic! I'm sure it was just a coincidence, but it sure helped improve the time. The next time I tried it, traffic was back.

Beatable in an Alfa GT stage 3 too.

Just don't go flat out, stay in control and brake hard for that tough corner after the tunnel :)

From memory I did this in a tuned Ford Mustang (Saleen Extreme Convertible)

Took a few goes, but as long as you don't crash more than once it's do-able

Finally managed to beat this and by like 7 seconds. Its ALL about that new car. Its SO much faster than the old E class cars I don't see how this challenge is fair without it. I tried taking it easy and there is no way to win unless your using 5th and 6th through most of the race. There is just to much traffic and you will get screwed eventually. In my opinion its just about keeping your car straight so that when you do crash you just bounce off and get a free brake. And obviously don't be any bit sideways when you leave the ground or your in the weeds and its over. I actually managed to jump clean over a car one run I was going so fast, but got screwed with a bad collision that spun me around.

I did this in a s3 GTO. I went reverse up a bit from start line, then floored it.

After 1st speed gun you need to be careful on the jumps.

Err, I think you might have the wrong challenge - Angels Jump is Time challenge, not a Speed challenge!
