View Full Version : Problem finding friends latley

each time i go on TDU in the last three days i go on to the map go on to players filter to friends and only harf of the people on my firneds list that are playing TDU show up the other harf are online and they are in freeride but there names just dont show.
the only way to find them is if i know where they are on the map them filter to all players then there name suddenley shows up my friends allso said they been having the same problem.
im just wondering if any of you has had the same problem and if so do you know how to fix this problem IF it can be fixed

i have noticed far more lagging than usual when on the Island lately.
Also communication problems, with people unable to hear you and talk breaking up.
i noticed that in particular the other day Dan on Sunday when we were on.

If you're using a router it sometimes helps just to hit it with a restart every now and again to clear the address tables.
Same with your adsl or cable modem if your provider has been running network maintenance. Reboot it as you might need to pickup a new ip address.

And, yeah it was completely quiet for a couple of minutes, maybe 5. I think it went on and off.

i cant join anyone after this maintanence thing, aparently microsoft have set everyones nat to strict so no one can join races or whatever or invite to chat, hopefully will be fixed soon it gets boring

in real life or tdu, cause i dont recall fires being mentioned on the back of the case, but they are in your houses on tdu, but nvm

However....back to topic....last night was another example of the problems that seem to be occurring lately.
I was out on the Island with Several others (who shall remain nameless as they are all now wanted by the Oahu Police) and for a spell of 15 minutes I could not jump to them at all! I was stuck on my own Private personal server!!!
Finally after we all managed to get on the same server (no easy task) again speech was effected with some of us unable to hear others and quality breaking up bad.
Then my connection froze (only ever happened once before). And all these problems have been occurring since the Servers last went off.
Something must be wrong somewhere. Before the servers went down I have been having no trouble whatsoever on live.
All very strange!

I too had strange things the other night when I was out testing my shiny new Gallardo Coupe... I had just come out of the tuning shop and I noticed ThirtyTwo UK there, like 500 yards away! Except, he had the weird connection symbol (-//-) and such next to his name and was just sitting by the side of the road. I drove up to him and 10 seconds later he vanished.
I found him again at the Waikiki dragstrip, modelling his new Zonda. I beeped my horn and said hello and was ignored!
...
Actually, perhaps that wasn't a technical problem... tonguegre

Atm i'm (excuse the pun)racing through the game so I have a nice collection of cars and houses :) so I'm basicly jumping from one sp race to another ,on sunday I did the round the island race immediately followed by the millionaires
challenge in my saleen and after 240 ish miles my hands hurt :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

I'm a car man myself I've only use a bike once to do the delivery mission but I've only got a few car races left so I'll have to use the bikes soon ,I haven't even unlocked the bike showrooms yet rolleyesa

I have to say the Bikes in this game handle just about completely non realistically but are still fun.

It is the first thing a Car driver says to you as you are lying pinned by your machine and trying to work out if all your limbs are attached.
It is also usually said by a car driver who has just attempted to make a right turn acroos you or who has pulled out of a side turning across you in broad daylight and bright sunshine on a clear day!!!!!
Yes it has happened to me several times.....the last one being so mind boggling amazing as to how he never saw me I still can't work it out now!
I have some lovely permanent injuries as a reminder of his failure to be able to use his eyes!!!!!! lolblue:

the ppl who worked on the servers apparently know about this prob and are in the process of fixing, firecat sent me a message that they are having match making issues
They had nat compatiblity issues, everything should be back to normal now.
