Problem logging in.

I bought this game today, installed it etc.
But when I tried to get online when I started it..(I did make a Gamespy ID and a valid Username).
I tried to connect, but when I tried that the game wasn't responding anymore. And it does that ever since. Does anyone else have this problem or knows the solution, please tell me.

it could be internet slowdown I have been on today and it was slow to log in but I was seeing lots of people onlione

What does that mean?
Login and free ride are available. Connection problems might only occur due to client side errors (other players).
