Now that iv'e done this amazing picture;), can someone please explain how the linearity slider affects the steering curve. I'm guessing i'm not the only one confused.
From slider at max left to right which one is it?
1-2
2-1
3-2
2-3
1-2-3
3-2-1
Ps Felt like adobing, im not crazy. tonguegre
OK THX.. should have been symbols in game or at least explained in manual.

basically you set it for which type of wheel you have.
if its expensive you can set it to max. because the amount of the wheel you turn it tracked via optical therefore no pulleys or chains are there creating a unbalance.
when there are unbalances the pulley becomes wrapped around the wheel slightly creating a slight unbalance.
although don't trust me on this analogy.
because i use a g25 with full linearity and half sensitivity. for the full 900 decrees rotation.
Id say the first 2 lines there where correct. The rest i think is mumbo jumbo. :P

*shrugs* maybe, but it's the same as most other driving games :)

Well yes, but that's assuming you play other games :p
I haven't seen too many driving games with this feature.
"Here you go.. a slider, +?- go figure haha!"
It's an obvious oversight. Oh well. specialdri

No idea what your picture is about - but I have worked out from other games that have the linearity setting is that the more Force Feedback you put in the game, the more Linearity you will want.
From memory my settings are:
Sensitivity - just above halfway
Linearity - 75% to the right
Force Feedback - 80% to the right.

I thought the slider had a name - 'linearity' or something similar. If so that's all the information you need.
The more linear something is the straighter the curve is. And examining non-linear curves, you would only ever want curve 3 in a game which required both fine control and extremes.
So just by being told that there is a slider from left to right that controls linearity the only option it can be is 3-2 :)
Yes because right is ALWAYS +. Ofcourse silly me. :P Me iv'e always thought straight was in the middle because i though maby some users needed it extra sensitive for some reason (low sens faulty wheel or whatever).
But theres no way around it, it's a source of confusion to many (as proven in this thread), the user interface and or manual have really poor coverage on this, end of story. I'll drop this now, thx again for the clarification anyway.. :salut2:
