Hi.

i've just bougt test drive unlimited, and when i want to play online, they want me to downloade a pacht. I have done that and i still cant play online.
what shall i do? - please help! .

You downloaded the patch.... did you extract and install the patch???

yes, i have extract and installed the patchs. but its like it wont install them in the game, but only on my computer. because it says that i haven't connected my gamespy account to my TDU/Atari acount?

is there anyone that would take time to explain from the start to the end how to do so i can play online? i want to know how you could play online? please.

Start the game
Create a new profile
Choose a name
Tick the box that says to play online
Enter your email address that is registered with Gamespy (if you have one, otherwise it should be created automatically)
Start playing
Finish the tutorial - you should be able to play online


If not, press Escape
Choose Options
Does it say "TDU Servers Available"?
If yes, select Online options
Tick all the boxes

every time i go in and create an online profile it says "there is a new patch, download that before you can play online" and i have downloaded that patch and i have intalled it and extract it and when i try to install it again it says " you allready have updated your game"? - what shall i do?
should i delete the game and install it again?

yeah try that

after uninstalling - goto C:\Program Files\Atari (or whereever you installed TDU) and make sure that there are no left over files or folders.

The search function doesn't always work so well. I've searched a few times and eventually had to post my question anyway.

Ok - we'll give you that one - but what about your game manual. Half of the noob questions are answered in there. People just think they are too cool to read manuals or something. Gives you something to do while the game installs.

Well..I noticed the game manual often mentions things you can do but then provides no explanation on how to go about it. I didn't learn how to make the photo option work from the manual, because all the manual says is that the feature is available. I found out about it by accident when I paused the game.

Granted, the manual and the search function both suck humongously.

Well, that's almost it, except: The game notifies you (Did me at least) when you get the photo-mode option available, and quite clearly tells you use it from the pause menu.

Also, I don't understand why it is so hard to look through the ingame menus before making a new thread here? They are not that large, the menus... rolleyesa :gaga:

I have to admit that I didn't pay alot of attention to those banners as they were mainly a nuisance because they would interfere with my driving. I saw that photos were available, but didn't catch the 'pause' part. I pay closer attention to the banners now. I got the free house for the 100% mapping and didn't notice how many cars it holds. That will teach me.
