Problem with the Witcher...already! :|

So The Witcher was released in the UK today, first day out, got my copy, installed it...

"launch game".... clicked it....

*error*
"Please insert Original DVD of 'The Witcher' ***"

Double checked that the disc was in the drive...yep sure is.
So Tried it again....

*error*
"Please insert Original DVD of 'The Witcher' ***"

And YES my computer excells the reccomended system requirements...

And YES I do have a Dual layer dvd Drive on my comp...

I've heard this happening with a number of atari published titles and it isn't acceptable...

So a pretty bad start for the Witcher... dissapointed.

any help?

Probably isn't a Securom problem, because The Witcher don't use Securom!
I'm willing to bet that you have a nice new shiny Dual Layer SATA DVD writer...from what I've been hearing, there is a built in thingy in TAGES that doesn't like SATA drives..it thinks that they are SCSI drives..in other words, it thinks it might be a virtual drive.
If you can get your paws on an old IDE drive and try that, you might have more success.

Sorted it out this mornin! delted alcahol 120 % and it worked FINE!
