righty,
i've followed the instructions as specified in manual and on website, installed the hotfix (the link provided is slightly incorrect, had to search MS website), have checked on Nvidia that my graphics drivers are fully updated, did a windows update as well, yet when i try to install the game it hangs at the following:
C:\Program Files\The Witcher\Data\meshes00.bif
This causes my machine to completely freeze and the HDD light to stay permanently on. Have googled to see if anyone else has any probs like this but i can't find any.
My pc meets the requirements for the game but will just not install. have had to reset my pc about 9 times now and still no joy. not happy
