If you are experiencing issues with the dvd ie the game asking for the original dvd, please try the troubleshooting below.
Some problems are caused by the older Tages drivers, solution:
• Try downloading drivers for Tages from http://www.tagesprotection.com/5.5.htm Unistall older drivers, start The Witcher and allow Tages to install newer ones.
Additionally you have to uninstall all software for virtual drives emulation:
· Daemon Tools, CloneCD, Alcohol 120%
· After uninstallation restart the computer
· After restart, uninstall SPTD drivers installed with Alcohol 120% (and Daemon Tools). SPTD drivers can be deleted by running installation file for those drivers.
Download and run the STPD installer.
STPD installer can be downloaded from:
http://www.duplexsecure.com/download/SPTDinst-v150-x86.exe.
· After uninstalling STPD, restart The computer
· After restart, click Start and then Run. In Run window write regedit and Press OK
· In registry find keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\{E9F81423-211E-46B6-9AE0-38568BC5CF6F}
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\32418F9EE1126 B64A90E8365B85CFCF6
· Run task manager (Start->Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device manager), go to Kontrolerów SCSI i RAID and delete A347SCSI SCSI Controller
· Additionally Task Manager delete Plug & Play BIOS Extension from System Devices
· Run registry editor and delete two additional keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\a347scsi
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\a347bus
· Go to folder Windows\System32\Drivers and delete two files:
a347scsi.sys
a347bus.sys
· Restart The computer. After restarting, run The Witcher.
